"I recently replayed the first two episodes of Shenmue, and to preserve the unique and timeless atmosphere of these two video game masterpieces, I decided to create a musical tribute. Taking some of my favorite tracks as a foundation, I reworked and enhanced them to craft a personal reinterpretation.

For this EP, I selected tracks from the 2nd episode, set in Hong Kong, China, and transformed them in my own way—while striving to maintain the nostalgic essence of these locations."

Italian house craftsman Mowgli resurfaces with “It’s So Good,” a sunrise-ready hymn that pours live-studio warmth into a lean 122 BPM groove. Landing 13 June 2025 via Disco Volante Records, the single radiates the optimism of first light over a packed terrace and marks Mowgli’s slickest fusion of musicianship and club punch to date.

Built around shimmering Rhodes chords and an elastic bass line that sways like palms in a morning breeze, the track keeps bodies locked with brushed-metal percussion and hand-played congas. A honeyed vocal refrain—“It’s so good / loving somebody / and somebody loves you back”—catches instantly, elevating the mood without tipping into nostalgia. Halfway through, Mowgli strips the drums, letting velveteen strings bloom into an arms-aloft breakdown before the kick thunders back in with added sub-weight.

The release arrives on the heels of last year’s streaming smash “Over and Over,” which pushed Disco Volante onto global playlists and Beatport charts. Where that cut leaned on chunky funk, “It’s So Good” feels lighter and more aerodynamic, proof of an artist in constant evolution. Recording the instruments live, Mowgli set out to counterbalance the AI flood washing over modern production: “I wanted every note to sweat, breathe and feel like real people playing together,” he explains.

Expect DJs from Miami rooftops to Ibiza sunsets to weave this Extended Mix (6 min 37 sec) into sets built for open-air euphoria. Drop it at dawn, and watch the floor bloom.
