Right now, Gregori Klosman’s high-flying Guru imprint is overflowing with quality, upfront house music to such an extent that the Parisian label continues to slip the occasional free download into their already impressive release schedule. The next such slice of generosity to hit our airwaves comes from the hair-raising collaboration between fellow Frenchmen Ken Roll & Junior Caldera. “Showtime” expresses an upbeat and colourful interpretation of house and electro that bristles with an energetic pulse.
	
A simple, tumbling bassline and rounded beats provide the backbone to a track that jerks with a brash attitude and moves with real zip. Dirty synths, futuristic FX and subtle melodies collide to create a rich soundscape that finds purpose and momentum despite all the contrasting sound elements. Smooth, hip-hop tinted vocals add a fluid and flowing aesthetic that allows the track to groove to its own beat. There is no messing from these guys; this is “Showtime.”
