Six tracks from a 12-song project by my darker alter-ego, A Cult of Lies. The music is a reflection on my time of being in an abusive religious cult as a child. Unlike my Anderhill compositions, for this recording I created 12 full-sentence song titles first, then I created the music to best suit each title. The music is darker, has more voice, vocals, and sampling of real instruments in the mix.

The first time ever I saw the devil’s face I was just a boy.

Those deceived by the promise of paradise will live in sorrow.

I know something is not quite right in this lovely place.

If obedience is the only way to win his praise, run away.

My body belongs to the collective but my mind is still my own.

Our punishment is building his greedy empire.
