Having achieved almost mythical status in black metal lore, ‘Planet Satan’ has been rumoured since the late 1990’s, following the band’s debut release, 1996’s ‘In the Streams of Inferno’. Unifying the core trio of Herr General Cerastes, Svartravn & DrBest, ‘Planet Satan’ is now upon us.


A work of intense and otherworldly black metal power injected with Mysticum’s strong cosmic, satanic and psychedelic overtones, ‘Planet Satan’ welcomes Mysticum to the new millennium with full & unrelenting force, whilst retaining the core elements which made the Norwegians pioneering legends of industrial black metal. 
Both infernal & nihilistic, as well as apocalyptic in its scope and execution, ‘Planet Satan’ is a new milestone for the genre in its sublime, chaotic ferocity. Primitive minor-chord riff patterns & tortured vocals mixed with the band’s manic and often unconventional programmed drum beats makes this an eerily hypnotic work of the darkest order.

The album was recorded & mixed at Fias Co. Studios with producer Sverre Dæhli, & mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Audio in Oslo.

Emerging in the early 1990's, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns & synths. They were originally (and briefly) signed to Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band. 

This edition of ‘Planet Satan’ is presented in mediabook format.

Isengard was the solo-project started in 1989 by Fenriz - one the key driving forces behind Norwegian legends Darkthrone - because he had many musical ideas to explore that didn't strictly fit in with the style and music of Darkthrone. Under the Isengard moniker, Fenriz released 2 albums, ‘Vinterskugge’ and ‘Høstmørke’.  

‘Vinterskugge’ consists of three separate recordings made between 1989 and 1993, and contains a whole multitude of styles, including doom, rock, folk, death, black, and viking metal. ‘Vinterskugge’ also demonstrated Fenriz’s breadth of vocal styles, lending an epic edge to many of the tracks. 

  The album contains three chapters. The first, ‘Vanderen’, features the most recent tracks, from 1993. The second part comprises of ‘Spectres Over Gorgoroth’, an early Isengard recording from 1989. While chapter three features tracks from 1991, called ‘Horizons’.   This new edition of ‘Vinterskugge’ includes a bonus commentary disc where Fenriz describes his recollections of the period - both of the composition of the tracks and the recordings - in an invaluable insight into this classic release, as the music plays in the background. This edition also features additional booklet content.

Darkthrone began in the late 80’s as a thrash/death metal act and progressed through technical death/doom metal experimentation to become hugely respected and influential legends of the black metal world. They were and still are, one of the original leading forces of the Norwegian scene, alongside other legendary acts such as Mayhem and Burzum.  'Sempiternal Past' contains all 4 of Darkthrone's cult demo releases recorded in 1988-1989 ('Land of Frost', 'A New Dimension', 'Thulcandra', and 'Cromlech') and shows the remarkable development of the band in its early years. Each demo has now also been fully restored and re-mastered from the best tape sources available, specifically for this release. Also included on ‘Sempiternal Past: The Darkthrone Demos’ are the tracks recorded at Oslo TV in 1989, along with a restored version of the rare song 'God of Disturbance & Friction'.   The booklet for 'Sempiternal Past' features rare photos of the band in their early years, as well as liner notes & lyrics.
