Tracktober one!
This is part of a week's worth of backlog, from starting a little early--  gonna upload 1 a day and hopefully not run out of buffer. 

I didn't try too hard to make this work as a standalone song or fix the very lazy 'doot doot' instruments, so, sorry for the trash lol. Mostly just put down some ideas. The melody in the second bit is one i try to reuse in later songs!

These are written in Anvil Studio (midi software) and converted to mp3.... which will probably explain a lot about the sound quality. lol. Sorry for that as well.

Tracktober 01 - day 1 trash noodling

Day 2! Like this one much more than Day 1's entry. Definitely had pokemon (gameboy) and Aivi & Surasshu on the brain while writing this, haha.

......this sounds so familiar that i'm certain i must have accidentally stolen parts of it from something that my friend Anders wrote (sorry, lol)

bleh! i like some parts of this but i REALLY HATE others. i hate so many things about this. oh well. a lot of these were bound to suck, probably good to just get them out of the way.

also, this has got some instrument volume balancing issues... sorry for the earstrain

Tracktober05 - yay it's not in 4/4 all the way through

i've never tried writing electroswing before! this still repeats too much and has some weird instrumentation shifts, but i still had lots of fun making it. i originally hated absolutely everything about this, lol, but a friend convinced me to keep working on it. (thanks!! haha.) 

ended up really liking the professor layton ish bit at the end. :>

took more like 3 days than 1-- spent some buffer time trying to fix this up.

lmao this sucks

check out those clunky transitions between parts!!
i wanted to try writing basically some shovel knight fan music so the fact that it sounds like a busted clone of part of that OST is intentional, but it was really hard to not make it boring and repetitive, lol. Oh well. learned something, checked another day off the list.

Tracktober 08 - ThisIsReallyBad

it's a remix of the melody from chippy (day 3)!

lol, not sure i like the transitions in this either.... but i'll take goofy sounding over boring. Although it's so so obvious that the loop transition was done in like 5 minutes cause i ran out of time, haha. Would like to go back and make that more smooth later, and actually add a melody in the empty sounding part where the time signature changes. And take the melody that does exist and make it less repeat-y everywhere.

Part of this is definitely an accidental rip off of the xenosaga episode 1 fight theme.... i'm sure it'll be obvious to anyone who is familiar with that theme, exactly which part. =_=
