Prior to the Gothenburg festival Electronic Winter 2016, Container 90 joined forces with Ekobrottsmyndigheten to record a special tribute to the old tune Staden Göteborg (City Of Gothenburg) by the punk band Troublemakers.

For EDWIN, the Höga Nord folks have conducted a mix that is folky, global and psychedelic. It features music by the Algerian musician, Ahmed Malek, a collaboration between mythical writer, William S. Burroughs, filmmaker, Gus Van Sant, a tune by the Super Djata Band from Bamako, Mali, some experimental ambient from Japan, tuned in by Haruomi Hosono and Tadanori Yokoo as well as tripping African vibes by the 70's band, El Rego Et Ses Commandos.

A real worldwide voyage that we highly recommend: Happy drifting and try to sing along!

There's a good bunch of intense, dark and extreme, grinding electro-techno gems on the "Raval Rave Breakers" first compilation. While Boris Divider's 'Collapsed Cluster' recalls of the more clinical approach of labels like Raster-Noton, Eel manages to deliver a fresh mix of styles on 'Sraight Edge', where Old Skool Breakbeat and EBM draw an unforgettable match made in heaven. Last track on the A side comes from Classicworks boss Neuhen, but is Patricia (Opal Tapes, Spectral Sound) who remixes it: in "Supress" we can find all the magic tricks of the NYC based producer: eery atmospheres, gently distorted drums and a warm feeling of cozyness. On the flip, RNXRX delivers "Aktion Intertia", one of the most psychedelic jams he's ever did: an industrial acid track as catchy as it can be. Oakland's "Heroine From The North" sounds a bit like when New Beat became faster and more agressive, being mixed with styles like EBM and trance.

Bricolage introduces ‘The Butterfly Effect’, its 43rd release from headmaster Fragile X. This first track gives us the mood : an experimental breakbeat journey where melodic synth layers dances around abstract dubbed drums and hypnotic fx, in a superb controlled chaos. Close to UK techno scene but with a strong personality and unique melancholic mood, this promising release will be fully available on may 31st on cassette and digital via Bricolage’s bandcamp.

However you know Teniente Castillo, you will only know good things. Whether you know the producer of slow and deliberate chunky techno, the label boss of Play Pal music, or whether you just know him as Fernando Pineda, the all round good guy! His Turn for the first compilation from the Sinchi Collective is as you would expect from such a talent, with live instrumentation, snappy snares and a bassline through dancefloors like a chainsaw.
The Sinchi Collective have long been synonymous with quality dance music while putting their name and their efforts to worthwhile causes, being at the helm of a long running podcast where they showcase their friends and most recently setting up a label of the same name. 
As well as turning in a mix which is out imminently, Mr Castillo has kindly contributed to the first Sinchi compilation, and it truly is firing on all cylinders, living up to the name ‘Altered States’. 
Make no mistake, the Ombra, Play Pal and Relish producer makes it clear that it is all about the music, but at the same time, It’s clear that Personality goes a long way.

Kanot is Jesper Jarold and Anton Kolbe. With their wide open ears and sharp sense of adaptation they have been involved in some of the last year’s most interesting Swedish musical acts - Fontän, Tross, Uran Gbg, Ultra Satan among others. With the help of Lindha Kallerdahl’s expressive vocals, Jarold and Kolbe weave an eclectic yet durable sonic textile. Call it music for psychedelic hiking, primitive dance beats or speculative folk music - most of all, it is unrestrained music, for the smartest and the dumbest kid in the classroom.
In the dense, and at the same time airy production, some drums anchor themselves steadily into the ground while others lash out like reverberating rhythmic gunshots. The tones from Jesper’s guitar and fretless bass float like leaves on the Drangme Chhu River, at times almost drowning in effects only to resurface in surprising and skillfully chiseled melodies that could play forever.

An independent structure operating at "the peripheries of stygian electronics", Glasgow's newborn record label @artificialhorizonrecords step up this fall to present their debut release, 'Strokes Of Industry', a four-track VA featuring choice tracks from Antoni Maiovvi, Das Ding, Itako and master analogue wizard @timothy-j-fairplay.

Liudas Lazauskas (aka Roe Deers) and Titas Motuzas are two friends and musicians from Vilnius, Lithuania. After releasing a cover at Mange Moi, and also introducing their first original release Losses (which also came in music video form), these guys are finally doing what was their initial plan - launching their own independent, Vilnius based label called “Good Skills”. For the first release, Good Skills is presenting two different originals from BDHBTS and eight great remixes created by dear friends from all over the world - two American Berliners, two Belgian acts, a band from Russia, and brothers from Cologne, Tauragė and Tel Aviv.
“Uždaras vakaras" - shows the way BDHBTS likes to dance. Meeting under influence in the studio turned out to be a night, when the anthem for Vilnius bouncers was born. Literal meaning of “Uždaras vakaras” is “Private evening”, which is a phrase very often used by local bouncers when not allowing somebody to enter the club. Little meaning lyrically, simple melodies, lots of drama andsome electronic accordion - this track is just like your night out.

How does a sexist society work? -  as usual, as it always happens in sects and totalitarian states. The pyramidal structure, on top of which there is a more or less charismatic sociopath, directly “under” it is a narrow layer close to the Master, enjoying nothing and no one (except the Master) unlimited power over the “base” of the pyramid: that is, over the bulk that makes up the group monopolist. This is kind of "Cascading of subordination" and is reflected in group and individual psychism as fear and hatred. Also, in the ideology of sexism, sexual characteristics have a decisive influence on the abilities, intelligence, morality, behavioral characteristics and character traits of an individual human personality; this ideology also includes ideas about the initial division of people into a higher (men) and lower (women) group, of which the first are the subjects and creators of civilization and culture and are called to dominate the latter. This kind of society fated to be racist, sexist and intolerant. This kind of society is fated to hate, envy and fear. We don't want to live in this kind of society.
"Women's Answer To Men's Failure" it's a story about jewish and muslim in mourning women in Palestine/Israel unstoppable fighting together for peace and against men stupidity/violence provided by the Lebanese born, Toulouse based artist Arabian Panther at his new 4 Tracks EP "Heart Filled With Sand" EP via Lyon's Blue Night Jungle imprint.
Beefy track a quirky twisted melody into a straight up peak time stomper which shakes the ear drums, keeping a flava of vocals from a documentary called "Les Guerrières de la paix" and a bassline which rivals the theme from Jaws in terms of creating tension the orient synthlines come and cuts like a chainsaw through hot butter.
