TM404 - SYRA 

The evolution of Andreas Tilliander’s moniker TM404 has reached its third stage. The first TM404 album was a heavily self-restricted concept album, live recorded with classic Roland machines. The subsequent album had a more playful vibe, shaped by Tilliander’s extensive live touring. This third TM404 album on Kontra-Musik simply tells the story of what he’s been up to since. The third part of a musical diary, initiated in 2013. 

The TM404 venture might have started out as a dreamy acid dub project, more suited for the chill-out than the main floor. But by popular demand Tillander found himself touring big clubs around the globe and the TM404 sound adapted organically. As a result, the album features tracks like Vactro and Rymdeko: fast paced acidic techno tracks in the same vein as classic Plus 8 releases, but with more space echo. Much more. 

But never fear, fans of the classic warm and bubbling TM404 sound. You’ll certainly get yours as well. A substantial portion of this album was recorded in a studio flat in Berlin as part of an artist residency. For obvious reasons, Tilliander could only bring a small portion of his studio gear to this German sanctuary. As a consequence, this album has a more stripped down vibe than its predecessors, which creates more space for Tilliander’s glowing melodies. The last track on the album, a loving homage to Kontra-Musik’s label boss, is a sublime example.

There were glimmering colours and flickering lights which danced and bounced between the four walls of the grand old hall. Inside it revellers moved in a euphoric trance, engulfed by the saidas touch, a hypnotic force which bound them together and kept them moving in ignorant unison. It was a beautiful, magnificent thing - strangely fascinating to watch as each dancer moved simultaneously in time with the rumble and banging of drums as a myriad of colours exploded and flashed. 

Dj Willie Oboe is back and when I say that it will likely mean very little. However, if I were to tell you that it's a magical new moniker for one of the members of the infamous hardware inspired duo Frak you might be more excited. They are set to release a new EP on Lost Control, a somewhat more house focussed affair than their usual. However, it still carries that rough and ready, signature Frak sound.

The Drifter is Mark Flynn, an Irish producer, DJ and singer. After an upbringing dabbling in different musical pursuits, from bands and choirs to folk and traditional, a love for electronic music was born.
The Drifter's dj style, like his productions, definitely lean towards the hypnotic, melodic and emotive side of electronic music. No matter what genre he is playing. House, Techno, Disco. He learned his craft from hours of djing in bars and clubs and running clubnights. One such clubnight was Passion Beat, a night he ran in Berlin for over 3 years with his buddy Mano Le Tough. It gathered a loyal, steady following and quickly became known for it's two residents and the guest artists they booked.
He runs the record label Maeve together with two of his close friends, Mano Le Tough and Baikal. All three share a similar passion for deep emotive music, and the label has quickly become one to watch..

Singular Live @ PLX Tjärö 2019

Today, on the twelfth of December, the midwinter full moon rises. Singular’s Månarna (’The Moons’) is dedicated to its soothing sheen in the darkness. A gentle and cool piano melody sprouts, transforms and shoots upwards through layers of noise, distortion and rumbling bass before finally coming to rest on a soft wisp of cloud floating beneath the deep blue foundation of the sky.

For the fifth year in a row, Lamour presents ‘Because We Love Music’. A collection of music that shows the musical range of the label and collects artists associated with Lamour.
Every day for 26 days we get a new song. On December 24th all songs will be avaliable via streaming platforms. We do this – because we love music!

In Rämna, Singular drapes melancholic, melodic piano in a twisting, dimly shimmering weave. A relentless pulse rises, whipping up a ticking, rumbling torrent that first tilts and rolls, then cracks, disperses and transforms into whispering, swirling veils of rhythm, melody and noise.
