This tribute is for Victhor, an Romanian born DJ and producer, who was born in the small town called Vulcan. 

At 6 years old he began his musical career by studying piano for 18 years and explored the electronic music, until this became one of his most important passions.

In the end of 2017, he reinvented himself creating his own project Victhor. He gradually invaded the inner reaches of electronic culture finding and refining his own unique sound and style, an irresistible blend of world music with deep, organic grooves of electronic music with all its related genres.

Victhor is not defined by just one genre. In his music you’ll find musical freedom and complete expression of the mind and soul, the connection between ourselves and the future.

Acid, Chicago and New York House, or the power of Belgian, Dutch or Detroit Techno, Brique Rouge has been churning out releases for 26 years without ever sinking into cynicism, nostalgia or parody. Open minded, Brique Rouge has established itself as a key French label for the distribution of emerging and creative artists already known or totally unknown, from all over the world, who draw their inspiration from the roots of the genre, but also pursue the search for new vibes. David Duriez is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine underground electronic music. Brique Rouge has released deep house, jacking house, tech-house, acid house, vocal anthems and much more... Definitely a label for open-minded people, not stuck in one genre of House.
