We want to wish all of you a very happy new year. We are starting 2024 with a podcast by Joachim Spieth.

Joachim has been active since the nineties, when he started as a producer with releases on the Cologne-based Kompakt. Back then, he already showed signs of his modern-day deep and atmospheric sound, but this came to light from 2007. That year, Joachim founded his label Affin. Today, Affin's main focus is on hypnotic techno and ambient.

The recording contains both of these well-connected genres and shows Spieth's ability to create and release tension through music. Don't hesitate to check out the podcast to experience the tension yourself.

Podcast 64 is provided by Chilean artist John Plaza who is based in Barcelona.

The sound of John Plaza is mostly characterized by percussion, continuous atmospheres and breakbeat rhythms. His productions have been released on labels such as The Gods Planet, Fur:ther Sessions and Circular Limited. With output on platforms like Monument and the Memoir series by Hypnus Records, he is no stranger to the deeper side of  techno.
Next to being a DJ and producer, he is also label owner of Linderluft_records.

With this set John Plaza showcases a diverse sound creating dynamics throughout his set which will keep you hooked. Percussion infused techno mixed with hypno beats will take you on a ride which gives you an insight on his approach to electronic music. We are crossing the Atlantic Ocean to welcome the Canadian Based LVT for the 64th episode of our series.

Being a versatile artist who operates on the intersection of ambient and techno, a specific depth and storytelling is present in all of LVT's mixes. With the skill to transport her audience into a dreamlike state she ignites an euphoric feeling, with driving and smoothly blended sounds.

Besides her output as a DJ she has been a curator for 10 years in her hometown Vancouver, runs events with a crew called Dolly and guides listeners through her intergelactic curation for @mfispacecrafts.
