Producer, vocalist, DJ, and dancer Andras_2020 is a rising figure in Europe’s burgeoning electronic music scene. Originally from Brazil, the artist garnered a dedicated following by releasing their intricate and textured debut EP, “Cuerpo Temperamental (acting in concert),” in 2021. This success was followed by the Cuerpo Tour, which saw Andras enthralling audiences across Europe and the UK for nearly two years. As a live performer, Andras’ work amalgamates contemporary dance and club culture. Their performances fuse the visceral materiality of the body, violent screams, and poetry, exploring themes of survival and physical transformation, contrasted with the gentleness of soft pop live aesthetics. Motivated by a desire and natural ability to fuse personal experiences with creative expression, Andras released “Blowhole” for Rest Now!. The title candidly contrasts the concept of inhaling and exhaling through a hole, like cetaceans, with anal pleasure and its associations with queerness and discomfort.
At the base of the creative process lies the recovery experience from a series of major rectal surgeries, serving as a paradox and a mirroring of the shame, sorrow, pain, and torment they endured during such a period. The EP balances its profoundly personal core with a lively and polished avant-garde pop exterior,
showcasing prominent synthetic sounds and metallic textures, evoking the ambiance of an operating room or the calls of dolphins. Andras’ second bedroom studio record features collaborations with thrilling artists such as Bristol-based Sarahsson and MICHAELBRAILEY.

Hieee, I had the pleasure of being invited by @vendredear to make a mix for @lyl_radio this month. This mix is a musical depction of my manic fast-paced thinking. This one is for the dolls with anxiety. I dug deep my soundcloud faves and sped up most tracks up to a 180bpm, combining pop edits, jungle and break beats with textured experimental tracks and baile funk on a fun 1-hour ride. I hope you like it.

On Wings REIMAGINED, Andras_2020 invited their friends to deconstruct and reassemble the essence of their single "Wings" from the 2nd EP Blowhole. Echoing the approach of the expansive Cordeiro Azul Remixes Compilation, the producer released the stems to the public, offering anyone the opportunity to remix the track. The result is a carefully curated tracklist that ranges from Drum & Bass to experimental Arrocha, exploring 11 interpretations of the same song, but different.

"CUERPO TEMPERAMENTAL" is part of the compilation "Mutants Vol 1":

 One hour, forty-six minutes, four seconds. Thirty-two tracks. 16 pieces of artwork. All created by us, the Mutants.

MUTANTS MIXTAPE is a collaborative release from members of the Mutants1000000 Discord community which was established in order to raise funds for organizations that support and uplift black and trans lives.

The official release date coincides with Bandcamp’s Juneteenth fundraiser where 100% of their share of sales will go to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Remaining proceeds from the MUTANTS MIXTAPE release will also be donated to over seventy community bail funds, mutual aid funds, and racial justice organizers via ActBlue.
