We are of course big dub fans here at 457 and we thought what better way to pay homage to the great dub masters than offer up our own special "versions" 45!  Here we take the A-side "Tread This Land" from Morphy & The Untouchables (from the very first 457 release) and present it re-imagined as two completely different versions. Up first the 457 elders Lord LXC and Duke Dubmonger bring "Dread This Land" - subjecting the original riddim to their combined collection of analogue boxes!  Crammed full of wacky processing and spaced-out analogue effects this is definitely one for the dub heads out there.

Rabih Beaini, the king of Venice is back! Under his synonym Morphosis he delivers two highly original and devastating interstellar house tracks. The opening track of this EP, Running out, is already buzzing through the scene for a while now, with fans like Marcel Dettmann. This track could be best described as a 21st century interpretation of Ron Hardy’s raw and uncompromised Music Box sound. The resemblance is not in copying Ron Hardy’s sound, but in creating a similar atmosphere. Running out is unconventional, extremely powerful and out of this world. The flipside holds another explosive epic called Musafir, meaning voyager in Arabic. In this track Morphosis joins forces with saxophone player Ralf Altrieth. Ralph’s eery saxophone stabs are dubbed over a rough baseline and devastating industrial beats. The dark and haunting atmosphere of this track echoes the productions of Kenny Larkin and Kevin Saunderson. Morphosis is known from his numerous productions on his own imprint Morphine.
