Pending Fabio Approval - Soaring Over Crystal Falls

Saturday in January, home alone. Haven't just sat down and played in kinda a long time. So I thought, ya know, time's moving on, and I really wanna just do what I used to, which is to float on my music like a life raft, and not judge and just see what comes out. It was a bit frustrating where my fingers and technique were rusty, but I just worked with what I had. THIS is what I wanna do more - just sit and play, and then let y'all hear it (I never say y'all in real life btw)! I must say though, the SOUND of this piano and my recording gear are frickn STELLAR! How I'm getting this in my Jangada Studio still amazes me. Oh, but trust me, it's a LOT of time and not insignificant gear, and having done this a while, some EXPERIENCE in coaxing the gear and piano to perform their best. Enjoy!

Saturday Afternoon in Winter on a Sunny Day

Improv from February 20 2023. First I played the Bosendorfer grand piano. Then I overdubbed the Valente electroacoustic piano made by my friend Fabio Fonseca’s company Keymagic. The Valente IS magical!
This is a very rough track but I’ve listened over and over so why hold it back haha!

We're excited to share with you the epic cinematic piece from Step 2 called Forests Of Pandora. This was a super rambling long improv that took a few months to turn into a proper song. It reminds me of Avatar and the forests there, and that's why we chose this name. Enjoy!

Electronic samples 1997 and onward. Arizona blended acoustic (electric guitar and violin) and electronic sounds. Sprite was done entirely in Sibelius notation program. The others are rough drafts done entirely within a Kurzweil 2500.

These are my little gems. Most are improv, ideas, snippets, often in collaboration with friends. 
This music room has grown into a bona fide recording studio, now called Jangada Studios. The Jangada are little fishing vessels you find in the Northeast of Brazil where my father was born.
