My Musical Journey

I am ANDRÉ PEREIRA DA SILVA, a Brazilian, married to the same woman for 28 years, and we have two adult children. For 25 years, I worked as a lawyer in Brazil, and today I am a licensed Life Insurance Agent in the state of Florida.
I was born into a Christian family in the state of Paraná, in southern Brazil, in a city called Medianeira, on April 8, 1971.
Currently, I have permanent residency in the United States, live in Kissimmee, FL, and attend the First Baptist Church of Orlando.

I believe my connection with music began at birth. I grew up in a musical family where music was a part of everyday life. My mother and grandfather played the accordion, while my uncles brought life to family gatherings and church services by playing guitar, cavaquinho, and tambourine. This environment nurtured my love for music, and in my teenage years, during the early 1980s, I began learning to play the guitar. Over time, I progressed to playing the electric guitar and later the bass, especially during Evangelical church services. Additionally, radio and TV programs such as music contests, festivals, documentaries, and musicals were always among my favorite hobbies.

One of the most significant influences on my musical life was my brother, Levi Pereira da Silva. He was just one year and three days older than me, born in 1970 and sadly passed away in 1991. Our tastes were so similar, and during the 20 years we spent together, he introduced me to many singers and bands. We shared a unique connection, thanks to the companionship and upbringing our parents instilled in us. They even advanced my school enrollment and delayed his so we could study together, strengthening our bond. Whenever my brother discovered a new band or artist, he would share it with me, and I would invariably become a fan of his idols.

With all the musical influences from the 1970s and 1980s, and deeply impacted by my brother's death in the early 1990s, I began composing numerous songs. These songs reflected my admiration for artists and bands from the Brazilian and American Christian music scenes. The compositions from that time were marked by themes of gratitude, praise, and worship to God. Without seeking formal therapy, music became a way for me to reinterpret my values, beliefs, and life after the loss of my brother.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought more free time and an opportunity to reflect on the impacts of isolation on human behavior. This inspired me to compose again. In 2020, I recorded three songs in a project titled Influências (Influences), and in 2021, I recorded two more songs. My compositions are original, though the influences of singers and producers I admire are clearly noticeable in them.

During both periods of creation, I remained committed to aligning my compositions with biblical teachings. I carefully selected words that faithfully reflected Christian doctrine and biblical thought. My goal is to recognize God's sovereignty in my life and convey to listeners the love of God and the redemptive work of Christ Jesus, who offers salvation to all who believe in Him.

I would like to emphasize that I consider myself more of a composer than a performer or singer. With advancements in music technology, particularly the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for creating arrangements and voices, I began utilizing these tools to bring dozens of songs I have composed over the past 30 years to life. Each track in my portfolio clearly indicates whether it was produced traditionally or with the assistance of AI, as well as whether the voice is mine or generated by technology.

Finally, all my compositions are available for anyone who wishes to use them, whether in individual or group performances by singers and bands, live presentations, recordings, commercials, advertisements, theatrical productions, or other artistic and cultural purposes. This also includes worship departments in Christian churches seeking to enrich their services with messages of faith and hope.

Each playlist is organized by specific themes such as grace, faith, trust, praise and worship, Christian identity, and more.
