SYDNEY, 26 MARCH 2021: Andre Cordova is an Australian-born, Peruvian, singer-songwriter and rapper with a knack for versatility. Based in Sydney, but raised in the Western Suburbs, he now brings us the sequel to his debut album ‘Psychotic’ in the form of an EP titled ‘Help’ (Prod. by Farlight, Oceanland, Emthree & Greg Stace). 

This independent artist has accumulated almost 250k streams on Spotify for his debut album alone within the past year. The following three singles; ‘Blood’, ‘I’ll See You There’ and ‘Envy’, included on his brand-new project, have amassed over an additional 180k streams between them. These were released late June 2020, late October 2020, and early March 2021, respectively. Dedicating himself to building a global network, Andre has received support in the form of features, blogs, and endless playlisting that has resulted in an international audience who value Cordova’s diversity and brand. Even Spotify’s algorithm can’t help but regularly share his music through ‘Discover Weekly’.

But what does this EP have to offer? Well, funnily enough, in all his genre endeavours, Andre has yet to tackle a purely commercial Pop song… until now. The feature track of this release, ‘Impulsive’, is an insanely catchy tune that doubles as a mental health anthem whilst remaining completely unique in its sound, delivery, and production. Touching on situational behaviour that inevitably leads to self-sabotaging relationships, he cleverly intertwines Rap for some trademark attitude to back up the utter frustration, and brings it all home with a heart-wrenching line that exclaims:

“This is what it looks like to have BPD”

Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth are written into five EP tracks. But we’re not about to tell you which is which.

Rising from a dark and pained experience, ‘Everything You Wanted’ reflects on what it’s like to be so incredibly self-aware of your own poor decisions whilst feeling utterly powerless to stop them, simply because you didn’t know any better.

PARRAMATTA, 27 OCT 2023: Genre-bending artist Andre Cordova releases a hypnotically dark Alternative Hip-Hop/Rap track with an Operatic twist to symbolise his role as God of Judgement.

‘Kingdom’ takes no prisoners. Inspired by his experience with personal mistreatment from someone who chose to publicly target Andre out of envy and jealousy; this BPD-driven musician goes against his own nature in favour of a strategy to surpass previous failures. Cordova bides his time through 2 months of bullying, waits for the perpetrator to slip up, and strikes in retaliation. 

The offender is no longer welcome in their previously mutual social circle.

Featuring the haunting vocals of exceptionally talented soprano singer Yasmin Arkinstall (OCDiva), and utilising direct quotes from Andre & ******’s confrontation in question; this catchy single resembles something off a big movie film score.
