Hi. :) 

I'm Dre. :)

I have been publicly performing my signature blend of spoken-word, rap and improvised song since about 2000. I started at open-mics when I was still in college. I moved to Detroit, MI after graduating from college, and had the blessing of becoming a well-known performer there. My claim to fame was when I opened up for Michael Moore at a peace rally in Detroit, in the Spring of 2002. I also had the honor of being a semi-finalist in the run for the 2002 Detroit Poetry Slam Team. I put out a CD in the Spring of 2003, which was a collaboration with a brilliant genius by the name of Michael Christie, aka "Telepath". My poetry/raps/songs have universal themes, and the most common feedback I get is that they are uplifting and inspiring.
