Delving into the realm of tech house in 2016, Robert's journey began when he discovered the genre's innate ability to convey an infectious energy and good vibe. Immersing himself in the pulsating atmosphere of tech house parties, it wasn't long before he stumbled upon the transformative allure of the minimal genre, reshaping his musical perception.

Two decks and a teenage homemade mixer – who would have thought a school project would launch the career of the fast-rising DJ/producer John Dimas!

Drawn to the sounds of Chicago, Acid and French House, he started collecting records from the likes of Derrick Carter, Chez Damier, Ron Trent and David Duriez, before honing his skills as a DJ in his native Thessaloniki. Quickly gaining a reputation for his unique sets using three turntables and his ear for digging out a hot, rare track, naturally the international club invites followed… Le Nuit Sonore Lyon, The Rainbow Birmingham, Watergate, Katerholzig , Chalet and Tresor in his new home of Berlin.

Moving into the studio, 2008 saw his first release as duo Actor One but more recently he has been focusing on his solo productions. Conjuring up solid house basslines with tech around the edges, Dimas also loves editing to bring surprise to his sets and a few have made it onto white label. Playing live is another form of experimentation with his sets, getting creative with his own tracks to play them in a way never played before.

With EP’s on Bass Culture, Claap, Dame Music and One Records, Dimas kicked off 2013 with his debut LP. Released on La Vie En Rose, John Dimas proves he is very much part of an up-and-coming generation, pushing through with a new avant-garde house sound.

Reminiscing about ADE, we started sifting through the vaults and decided to upload one of our favorite souvenirs. The sounds of Spokenn made the red containers shake and tremble and will potentially do the same to your home system. Play this loud!

Audio Werner introduces us to his slick minimal sound in the latest vinyl-only GH Podcast. Lucky us, since for the next two hours we’ll get teleported on the wooden dancefloor of Club der Visionaere, at the traditional Tune In residency monthly party on May 17th 2017 - that’s 3 years back in time. 

Andreas - the man behind Audio Werner project - did a technical processing to elevate the sound quality, while also adding some small touches - a sign of a selector dedicated to acquiring the level of quality expected. The podcast is rather abstract than housy and it makes up some reference to his roots linked to Perlon, which has also inspired and influenced a lot of Romanian producers along the way.
Judging by the meandering yet crowd-pleasing bassline, GH013 is a builder rather than an attention-grabber, a deep effort that’s sure to receive plenty of play from fans of groovier minimised sounds.
