Teknocrates, fondé en 1992 par une poingée d'amis dont Dj Teknos, rencontrent en 1994 le sound-system Impakt lors d'un teknival. C'est là qu'ils décident de leur fusion. Ils font partie des premières generations de sound-system enfantés par les pionniers anglais Spiral Tribe.

Depuis ce jour, le sound-sytem Impakt-Teknocrates nous fait vibré dans l'Europe entière, Italie, Espagne, Portugal, République Tchèque... Et en France, Bretagne, Paris, Rouen, Montpellier, La Rochelle, Les "off" du printemps de Bourges en 96, celui des Transmusicales de Rennes en 95. Le Teknival de Blois avec les Heretik et Mas I Mas en 2002.

Parmis ses membres, 
• Dj Kraft, producteur d'évenement : Astropolis et Welcome 2 the Rave
• Toxic et Dj techno made in Détroit, et skateborder professionnel
• Joystick, d'abord membre des Furious, rejoind ensuite le sound-system Impakt-teknocrates, aujourd'hui il est batteur au sein du groupe palindrome (bloc 46),

Ou encore Dj Teknos qui nous signe ce mix en quatre partie...

Sans oublier Ascender, Marc, Kristoff, David,... Dont certains ont repris la route, d'autres sont toujours Dj, producteurs d'évenement et certain ont définitivement quitté la scène.

Pour en revenir au mix, exceptionnel, qui me rappelle trop des bons souvenirs de soirées, une hard-tekno, avec une sélection musicale tout ce qu'il y a de dance-floor. Ce CD est fait pour la nouvelle génération de raveurs et leur donner la vraie vision musicale de ce qu'est le mouvement. Et rappeller aux anciens des souvenirs. Il est découpé en 5 parties qui s'enchainent avec des petits dialogues.

Actuellment une poignée de Beatfreak, 12 au total, agés de 25 à 35 ans, membres des teknocrates, des I.O.T. et des Tomahawks sont partis pour un périple en Afrique pour le projet "African Expisound" pour faire découvrir la culture free et venir en aide au peuple africain avec dans leur valises : livres, préservatifs, cahiers, stylos,...etc
