For this week’s episode, we have Ersin Boncaoğlu who goes under the name of ZR. The DJ based in Izmir, Turkey is in charge of curating the mix this time. Ersin has been working with music and is exposed to DJ-ing for more than two decades already. This enabled him to truly shape his sound and selections, which are characterized by the realms of the more ambient side of techno. In the recording that he has put together for us a sublime range of textures and rhythms will delicately push towards the deeper and heaver kickdrums. Noteworthy is that Ersin has contributed to several iconic podcast series like Oslated, IO podcasts and others. Enjoy the journey.

Proverb is a musical composition by Steve Reich for three sopranos, two tenors, two vibraphones, and two electric organs. It is set to a text by Ludwig Wittgenstein.[1] It was written in 1995 and was originally intended for The Proms and the Utrecht Early Music Festival. It was premiered at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on February 10, 1996 by Theatre of Voices with Paul Hillier, to whom the piece is dedicated.[2]
Proverb was written during a period when Reich was experimenting with "speech melody", and is influenced by the period Reich spent working on The Cave with Paul Hillier and singers with a strong background in medieval polyphony. This is especially apparent in the two tenor parts, which pay homage to Pérotin and organum in their use of rhythmic modes and pedal points. The text is: "How small a thought it takes to fill a whole life!" This text is an excellent explanation of the piece itself, as well as perhaps Reich's career, much of it spent exploring minimalism.

Andrea Cossu is a Berlin-based DJ and producer, focusing on deep, hypnotic and ambient techno sounds.

Originally from Sardinia in Italy, he studied electroacoustic composition at the Conservatory in Cagliari and worked at AMAM Studio as a sound engineer.
He released numerous tracks, including his debut album “Spira” on The Gods Planet label, as well as a feature on a Semantica's VA compilation. 

He recently joined the events series Art Bei Ton, focusing on Hypnotic Techno and visual arts.
