When the world started to shut down during the pandemic, the voices of Valkyrie appeared as a muse, and inspired the creation of "Victorious", my first release and a collaboration project with Gronwald. This title represents the relentless human spirit. I imagined the aftermath of a battle scene, it was as calm as after the storm, and you could feel the relentless spirit rising in the air, to begin anew, to be victorious.

Crafted is first up from Andy Power with its driving late night beats and shimmering melodic work. Samet Zorlu offers another tasteful progressive house tune that builds in rich layers and Need More Time from Salahaddin & Gassan is a more edgy tune with sharper tech drums. Further cuts from LeDie, Juliane Wolf and Serval & Anomali keep up the classy melodic house vibes with lots of serene synth craft and deep rolling drums.

The final cuts from 2WES with the darker moods and swaying rhythms, textured and potent Tank Attack from Joe Fisher and Gridlayer and Dream With Me from Alessio Cristiano all round this collection out with real dance floor magic.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki's main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin's vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver's heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg's wall paintings adorn Stil vor Talent's cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 15th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.
