Acclaimed producer Jack Back and Afro house pioneer THEMBA unite for ‘Give Me Something To Hold’ on Defected, joining the London label’s extra special 25th anniversary series Together. David Guetta created the Jack Back alias to return to his house roots, quickly building a strong relationship with the London label thanks to the chart-topping Defected hit ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’, then releasing a highly anticipated remix of label staple, Dennis Ferrer’s ‘Hey Hey’ in 2024, showcasing his fresh Afro house inspired sound. Now the French titan joins forces with THEMBA, a prolific South African DJ who has brought his unique take on electronic music to the world since 2018. From explosive early releases like ‘Who Is THEMBA?’ to remixing works from Vintage Culture, Kerri Chandler and Bob Sinclar, THEMBA’s meteoric rise to success has culminated in sets with Black Coffee at Hï Ibiza, cementing him as one of the biggest touring artists out of the continent. Now, in 2024, the two powerhouses come together for the hypnotic club cut ‘Give Me Something To Hold’ on Defected, as THEMBA’s modern, Afro electronic rhythms work with Jack Back’s melodically engaging production, complete with arresting vocals that build tension in all the right places.

WhoMadeWho expand their creative field with the conception of new record label The Moment. Intrinsically linked to their beautifully curated festival, the platform draws from the same philosophies as their event series. It’s about depth, connection, shared moments, feelings and innovation centered around amplifying the human experience. The music shared through the label embodies the spirit of WhoMadeWho, a trio who have strived to maintain the heart and soul of their musical expression, from their early forays into the world of Indie, to their more recent electronic exploits.

With the first release they have collaborated with a British artist to facilitate his debut release. Known by the artist name Everything Is Art, the London-based Manchester-born creative draws from a deep well of musical touch points. From Aphex Twin and Mike Oldfield to trance and Balearic Beats, Everything Is Art channels the soulful and spiritual side of electronic music into his productions. Together they have produced a spellbinding cut - ‘All The Love’. A highlight in WhoMadeWho’s recent sets, the track works off a sturdy percussive base with stirring vocals that go straight to the heart of your emotional centre. Shrouded in layers of warm synth, the energy builds slowly, guiding us into a rousing breakdown, punctuated by solemn piano keys and reverberating vocals. This takes us into the second half, where the beautifully composed track continues to immerse us in its breathtaking atmosphere…

A fresh and summery collaboration arrives on Defected, as Grigoré, Serve Cold and Jaguar Jaguar deliver ‘Dancing’. Grigoré has risen to success producing and DJing across house and techno spheres, quickly earning him respect from world-class artists like Solomun, CamelPhat and Kevin de Vries. His work with frequent collaborator Serve Cold began with his third EP, Seasons, with the tracks channelling both artists’ melancholic and melodic sides. For their Defected debut, the pair unite with Belgian band Jaguar Jaguar, who share the producers’ spiritual aesthetic and talent for electronic music. Jaguar Jaguar’s blissed-out vocals contrast with Grigoré and Serve Cold’s harder production for an chic and dreamlike house outing, evoking blissed-out, open-air vibes just in time for summer. With catchy vocal hooks and deep synths combining in ecstasy, ‘Dancing’ is sure to make an impact for the incoming festival season and well beyond.

Andrea Oliva’s current status as an established international headline act is the result of an entirely organic journey.

Having taught himself to DJ at the age of 13, Andrea then started working in a record store where he built his extensive collection of upfront promos and white labels from Europe and beyond and he soon secured bookings at some of Switzerland’s best clubs leading to residencies at Terminus and Pravda. With his status in his home country growing, Andrea teamed up with the owner of Nordstern in Basel, Agi Isaku, and the duo were soon throwing sold out ‘Banditz’ parties across Switzerland. His reputation took him across the continent and all the way to Ibiza, where in 2004 he was first invited to DJ at Space.

As his reputation grew so did his diary, and he was invited over to Ibiza to play at Space in summer 2004. Ibiza remains a pivotal location in Andrea´s current DJ career where he plays headlining slots most weeks at ANTS in Ushuaia. However his worldwide touring schedule is equally as extensive counting slots at many of the worlds biggest festivals including Coachella, Tomorrowland, A Summer Story, Sunrise, Dreambeach, Medusa, Sonus, Sunwaves, Kappa Futur and DGTL as career highlights.

Andrea developed his production style under the likes of VIVa Music, Saved Records, Be As One and Cadenza, and has gone on to have tracks on some of the industry´s most recognisable imprints. Several of his tracks including Vermona, My Way, Scream, and his remix of Thick Dick's "Welcome To The Jungle" topped charts across digital download platforms and have become anthems in clubs around the world. His 2015 “4313” album released on Objektivity was also received with critical acclaim and he continues to garner widespread support for his music from clubbers and industry alike.

Throughout few years Andrea has continued with an everstrong release schedule, with EP’s released on Hot Creations, Desolat, Truesoul, Play It Say It, Saved, Moon Harbour, Relief, Rejected, Kaluki, 7Wallace, Rawthentic and Circus. Not forgetting of course his massive remixes of Thick Dick’s “Welcome to The Jungle” (SONDOS), Groove Armada’s “House with Me” (Snatch), Tiga’s “Woke” (Turbo) and Catz n Dogz “New Love” (Pets Recordings), all of which were supported right across the industry and each of which also became huge club anthems. In addition, Andrea completed a solo headline “Andrea Oliva & Friends” residency at Ibiza’s newest superclub Hï Ibiza featuring a string of high profile guests, as well as maintaining an eye watering touring schedule incorporating headline festival sets and tours right across the globe. Other highlights include debut Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab and DJ Mag sessions, another B2B set and live broadcast with Pete Tong as part of the Radio One in Ibiza weekend, a second BBC Radio One Essential Mix and a return to the huge Zurich Street Parade where he performed on the main stage and which was attended by over a million people.

Neighbor is the guy with the tunes—and has been for as long as his friends can remember. Since officially stepping behind the decks in 2024, he’s been blending indie dance, techno, and tech house into vibrant, dance-driven sets designed to keep bodies moving and minds drifting. His sound has been described as “new retro,” merging nostalgic textures with modern beats to create an energetic yet immersive vibe.

Based in Atlanta but with roots in Nashville and connections across the country, Neighbor credits mentor DJs like Berth, A-Ron, Birthdae, Mike Bradley, Wild Cherry, and Alfonso Tan for shaping his journey. Whether holding down the club or teaming up with Mike Bradley for their collective “Technosexual Order” Neighbor’s mission is clear: bring people together through music, movement, and a little bit of neighborly love.

Fun fact: Before DJing, Neighbor sang bass and baritone in show choir and a cappella groups—proof that music has always been in his bones. His DJ name comes from a nickname given by his old boss, who noticed he greeted everyone like a friendly neighborhood vibe ambassador. That energy is still at the heart of every set he plays.
