Rounding off January 2023 with a club banger, London DJ and producer Ellis Moss returns to Toolroom with ‘Emergency’, a straight up Tech House roller with bags of attitude. Ellis Moss is an artist who seriously shook things up throughout the electronic scene back in 2021, with his Toolroom Trax debut ‘The Shake’ garnering vast support from big names in the scene, from HUGEL, Crusy, Westend, Ferreck Dawn and many more.

Following up with an outing on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom imprint, alongside spots on Toolroom’s Miami 2022 Compilation and standalone single ‘Critical’, it’s clear to see that Ellis Moss is a producer well on the rise!

Fast forward to 2023 and Ellis Moss delivers this dark-laced, Tech House slammer ‘Emergency’. Capturing the sound of which Toolroom built its foundations on, this is a record that cuts through with its driving low end, rolling groove, tense siren FX and quirky telephone FX littered throughout – an essential club weapon!

Toolroom are heading down to the dance floor on this next one, as we welcome German DJ and production duo Raumakustik and French DJ and producer Tony Romera, who land with their deep club weapon ‘That Groove’.

Making a return to the firm, Dresden based Raumakustik are certified Toolroom veterans who have seen huge success throughout their careers. With a reputation for dropping solid club bangers, Raumakustik have become a formidable force in dance music. With their recent collaboration with Diplo – ‘Biturbo’ on his Higher Ground imprint doing the rounds, to cuts on Jamie Jones Hot Creations imprint and Chris Lake’s Black Book Records, you can expect the club to go off whenever their records are dropped.

Back to the label after dropping one of the hottest records of 2022, French DJ Tony Romera made monumental waves throughout the scene remixing a Toolroom cult classic, ‘RAW’ by Julio Navas, Gustavo Bravetti and David Amos, which saw the artists hit #1 on Beatport and
garnered vast support from FISHER, DJ Snake, John Summit and many more.

Little is known about house music buccaneers Pirates For Life. Their on-shore activities include making remixes and originals, and leaving their Jolly Roger where ever they set foot.

The only known EP by PFL emerged in the UK in 2004 and featured bootleg remixes on Madonna’s ‘Get Into The Groove’ and Duran Duran’s ‘Say A Prayer’. Their first step in the digital music market is titled ‘Get On Down’, an EP released on Can You Feel It Records in 2011. The pirates are joined by Dutch house talent Ferreck Dawn on remix duties.

Since launching in early 2019, Dennis Cruz and Eddy M's MÜSE imprint has quickly seen the pairing curate one of the scenes most impressive rising labels - welcoming the likes of Tube & Berger, Piem and Alan Nieves alongside rising talents including Gruuve and Bizen Lopez, whilst also serving as a key outlet to release their own productions and material. Hot on the heels of Cruz's latest stand-out EP, 'KMA', early-August welcomes the debut split EP offering on the label as both co-founders return alongside one another for the very first time to serve up the twotrack 'Show Me / Five'. 

Eddy M's 'Show Me' opens proceedings with authority as the Barcelona-based DJ and producer combines crisp metallic drum lick atop of driving low-end tones and escalating lead lines to deliver a high-energy opening cut, whilst Cruz's bubbling 'Five' employs trademark hooky vocal samples alongside menacing basslines and icy hats to showcase a rolling cut typical of the ever-impressing Spaniard.

Andrea Oliva’s current status as an established international headline act is the result of an entirely organic journey.

Having taught himself to DJ at the age of 13, Andrea then started working in a record store where he built his extensive collection of upfront promos and white labels from Europe and beyond and he soon secured bookings at some of Switzerland’s best clubs leading to residencies at Terminus and Pravda. With his status in his home country growing, Andrea teamed up with the owner of Nordstern in Basel, Agi Isaku, and the duo were soon throwing sold out ‘Banditz’ parties across Switzerland. His reputation took him across the continent and all the way to Ibiza, where in 2004 he was first invited to DJ at Space.

As his reputation grew so did his diary, and he was invited over to Ibiza to play at Space in summer 2004. Ibiza remains a pivotal location in Andrea´s current DJ career where he plays headlining slots most weeks at ANTS in Ushuaia. However his worldwide touring schedule is equally as extensive counting slots at many of the worlds biggest festivals including Coachella, Tomorrowland, A Summer Story, Sunrise, Dreambeach, Medusa, Sonus, Sunwaves, Kappa Futur and DGTL as career highlights.

Andrea developed his production style under the likes of VIVa Music, Saved Records, Be As One and Cadenza, and has gone on to have tracks on some of the industry´s most recognisable imprints. Several of his tracks including Vermona, My Way, Scream, and his remix of Thick Dick's "Welcome To The Jungle" topped charts across digital download platforms and have become anthems in clubs around the world. His 2015 “4313” album released on Objektivity was also received with critical acclaim and he continues to garner widespread support for his music from clubbers and industry alike.

Throughout few years Andrea has continued with an everstrong release schedule, with EP’s released on Hot Creations, Desolat, Truesoul, Play It Say It, Saved, Moon Harbour, Relief, Rejected, Kaluki, 7Wallace, Rawthentic and Circus. Not forgetting of course his massive remixes of Thick Dick’s “Welcome to The Jungle” (SONDOS), Groove Armada’s “House with Me” (Snatch), Tiga’s “Woke” (Turbo) and Catz n Dogz “New Love” (Pets Recordings), all of which were supported right across the industry and each of which also became huge club anthems. In addition, Andrea completed a solo headline “Andrea Oliva & Friends” residency at Ibiza’s newest superclub Hï Ibiza featuring a string of high profile guests, as well as maintaining an eye watering touring schedule incorporating headline festival sets and tours right across the globe. Other highlights include debut Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab and DJ Mag sessions, another B2B set and live broadcast with Pete Tong as part of the Radio One in Ibiza weekend, a second BBC Radio One Essential Mix and a return to the huge Zurich Street Parade where he performed on the main stage and which was attended by over a million people.
