Mother Earth

Well, this song needs no introduction, you know it, and probably like it. Written by Cyndi Lauper and Rob Hyman in 1983 it's become an all time classic, and my son Gideon has taken it upon himself to write a new arrangement, and to play and/or program all of the instruments.
Backing vocals were contributed by my wonderful friend Karen (Kiki) Jackson, so all I had to do was to sing lead.

Tried to redo this piece I don't know how many times, without ever finding a satisfactory arrangement. Will I succeed one day? Who knows. There are so many errors that it is useless to count them. 

For the title I finally chose (distorting it) a short, sarcastic passage from the second act of "Look back in anger", a play that I loved very much in my youth. I think it is perfect for the circumstance.

Hi, I’m Andreas.


Welcome to my little collection of mainly unfinished demo songs and some songs of a former amateur band (which nobody knows except me, the other 4 guys and perhaps my parents :-D ) in which played when I was still in school. These have been recorded about 30 years ago and then I was busy with everything else but music for about 3 decades. But there was always something missing so I started recording again in the winter of 23/24. All these recordings are far from being perfect but come deep from the heart. I appreciate your support and feedback and I enjoy listening to your music equally. Overwhelmed by so much talent  and dedication to be found here on this platform.

So I look forward to get/ stay in contact with all of you wonderful musicians out there. In peace and respect and dedication, yours, Andreas

Update 14.07.2024: Some of my demo tracks that you can find here have made progress or have even being 'finished'. 
This is such a nice community here. All my respect to all artists, who are creating such wonderful musical art und what is even more important: support each other in the best way no matter if they have 10 followers or 10000.
