A beautiful and poetic, exclusive and edited version of "Canten Las Canciones Del Nuevo Trovador" by Meridian Brothers.
Released 19th May 2014 on Demencia Tropical, the latest compilation on Galletas Calientes Records.
Stay tuned and look for the vinyl release mid June.
Led by Eblis Alvarez, one of the most important figures of contemporary Colombian music, Meridian Brothers is probably the most unclassifiable tropical project of all times. "Canten Las Canciones Del Nuevo Trovador (edit)" is an experimental cumbia folk song with uniquely processed vocals and sampling techniques from another world. Like most of Meridian brothers songs, Eblis here plays all the instruments: muffled organ, subtly dissonant electric guitar, broken percussions and electronic elements; taking us to his very peculiar universe.

As the warmth of spring nudges winter in it's side, in turn the heat is rising from the Quantic studio, Sound Workshop. The new song 'Curuba' has us hanging up our snow shoes and folding umbrellas for a return to swampy dance nights in empty swimming pools with luminescent cocktails. Pulsing arpeggios weave with sultry drifting banjos, the crimson horizon is just in the distance; and even knowing our winter may return, this is a welcome tropical intermission.

Both renowned electro swing producers and outstanding djs, french duo Stabfinger and K.D.S have been involved in numerous musical projects for the past years. 

Having collaborated with artists from the french underground techno or the UK Ghetto Funk scenes, Stabfinger production doesn't limit himself to a single music genre, challenging himself in original compositions, mashups, and remixes. 

KDS, for his part, has been deejaying across the globe since he was11 years old and he's especially known for his tremendously communicative performances and the extremely wide variety of genres he's playing. 

LLore EP is an uptempo release fit for the summer dance floors, with more latin and afro influences then their usual productions; the result of inspiring trips they recently made to Colombia and Argentina. 

The hit song "Lloré" is a hypnotic and progressive house track composed with techno producer Audioflow from Killadisco. 
It contains deep and powerful voice samples from "Llore, llore" by Colombian bullerengue group Palmeras de Uraba, originally released by Konn Recordings. 

"Lloré EP" shows the open minded way Stabfinger and KDS produce dance music, and their constant concern for transmitting positive emotions to the crowd. The children singing on "Iguazu", the ancestral voices and sizzling percusions of "afrohouse", the disco, funk, and fantastic energy of "Elastick"; all these elements come together for a good synthesis of Stabfinger and KDS great variety of musical backgrounds and influences.

Après des études universitaires à Porto Rico, @yannisruel a collaboré à Libération, Vibrations, Mondomix et Les Inrockuptibles.
