Pegassi is the moniker of 22-year-old deejay & producer Sam Huybrecht , hailing from Antwerp. As a 16 year old bedroom producer he got picked up by Giocatori, the deejays and producers behind Dutch wonderboy Lil Kleine . Together they worked on pounding remixes for the headstrong rapper. In the meantime Pegassi didn’t just continue to work on his futuristic house style, he also made big bootleg remixes that broke the internet. What followed: 800.000 plays on Youtube, 20 features on different channels and a stunning 1 million plays on Soundcloud . So far so good, until a couple of days later his Soundcloud account was taken offline, 10.000 followers who lost their big hero.

But! He was just warming up his wrists. A fresh profile and a clear mind brought Pegassi back on track. From just remixing in 2015, to remixing ànd producing his own music in 2016. Shortly after this, he shook-up the internet for a second time, when releasing his first track on the Soundcloud platform Binary. Together they launched “ Mystery ”, the song hit over 150.000 plays in no time. To take his career to the next step, he signed with artist & bookings agency Kurious. Resulting in gigs at Studay, The Day Before Tomorrow, Kingsday, LaRocca, The Villa and Ikon. 

2017 started with a bang, Belgian label NEWS signs the young producer and he delivers his very first single! Pegassi collaborates with Billie – a female singer from Ghent, known from “Give Me The Knife” and her collab with Netsky “We Can Only Live Today” – and records the track “ Truth and Lies ”. The gentle soft voice takes you along on a dreamy trip, until Pegassi’s climax drops. A drop that comes as hard as Trump in a Russian hotel room! Be warned, this one is sticky!
