It’s been over half a year since youAND:THEMACHINES album “BEHIND” first saw the light of night. Now its time to presents a nice remix package with some of the favourite artists of Martin.

"A year after the release of his ‘Behind’ LP youAND:THEMACHINES presents ‘Behind’ LP Reshaped - an opulent collection of selected edits, interpretations and remixes courtesy of a prestigious roster of distinguished producers including Matthew Herbert, Steve Bug, XDB, Boo Williams, Sascha Dive, Legowelt, Marko Fürstenberg & Luke Hess and Basic Soul Unit amongst many more.
youAND:THEMACHINES is the solo moniker of Martin Müller - one half of the Berlin based luminaries youANDme who have enjoyed success through official works for the likes of Moodymann, Seth Troxler and Radio Slave and through releases on labels such as Ornaments, Cocoon and Rekids.
It was back in June 2013 that Martin’s ‘Behind’ first saw the light of night; an enthralling insight into his mind and his equipment built using Roland drum machines, the Moog Voyager and the Roland Alpha Juno amongst many other analogue pieces.
Released through long-term affiliates - Ornaments, Martin’s debut LP was received with tremendous appreciation as a laudable achievement in brooding and physical machine music by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Steve Bug, Scuba and Âme to name a few.
‘Behind Reshaped’ mines deep beneath the original’s surface and is a varied compound of textures, tones and atmospheres. From Steve Bug’s glacial ‘Raw and Reduced’ edit of ‘Drift’ to The Analog Roland Orchestra’s allaying take on ‘Desire’ and from XDB’s armoured and clap-heavy remix of Perception to Freund der Familie’s lucidly textural version of ‘Entrance Room’ the listener is ferried through a broad spectrum of feeling whilst a spectral and rueful current remains consistent.
True to the label’s practice - Ornaments’ 29th installment will come bolstered with labour-of-love extras including 333 hand-painted artwork editions (3 x 12”) with each cover bearing a unique painting and stamped number and a special limited tape edition again, with hand-painted artwork and a bonus tape track."

Ahoi,
euer Käpt’n segelte letztens mal wieder gedankenverloren im Indischen Ozean kreuz und quer hin und her, beschäftigt mit der einen Frage: Welche luxuriöse Yacht könnte er entern und sich derer Schätze und Rum-Vorräte annehmen? Mit der letzten Flasche Rum im Ausguck sitzend erspähte er ein Schiff und je näher er diesem kam um so deutlicher hörte er Stimmen, welche über das Wasser zu ihm drangen. Euer Käpt’n vernahm Worte wie Schatzinsel, Rum, Schatzkiste, Gold und Meuterei. Das klang ganz nach seinem Geschmack und er legte sich auf die Lauer. Was er zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht wusste, auf selbigem Schiff übte sich http://soundcloud.com/andres-remix im Piraten- und Soundhandwerk, um bei der Seasidetrip Crew anzumustern. So kam es, das euer Käpt’n dem André hinterher segelte und im Schatten eines Felsen beobachtete wie der André seinen Schatz, das schwarze Gold an Land schaffte und dort sein Soundsystem aufbaute. Ihr könnt euch denken, dass das euren Käpt’n erfreute und er sofort klar Schiff machte, um an Land zu gehen. André: Jo Ho Hoo und ne' Buddel voll Rum - Habe mal meine Schatzkiste geöffnet und ein paar elektronische Perlen neuerer und älterer Herkunft ausgepackt. Würde mich freuen, wenn ihr bei ruhiger See, wenn die Abende jetzt länger werden, euch einen Drink gönnt und der Musik lauscht oder vor euch hin tanzt. Muss ja nicht gleich eine ganze Flasche Rum sein, dann klappt es vielleicht mit den Likes und comments nicht mehr ;-)) über die ich mich natürlich freuen würde.

Oliver Schories - My Summer 2014 (Mixtape June)

This was my warm up for Miyagi and Oliver Koletzki @ tanzen grillen trinken chillen (Schuppen2/1-6-2014).

@Lemmon-music (ehemals Beno Lunsen) macht Musik, seitdem er eine Gitarre halten kann und macht Partys, seitdem er weiß, was das ist. Zum Studieren wanderte der Musikproduzent und DJ ins niederländische Groningen aus, treibt sich aber gerade irgendwo zwischen Berlin, Hamburg und Bremen rum. “Insgesamt habe ich die Tracks für das Set bei Grillen & Chillen relativ spontan beim Spielen ausgewählt. Aber viele der Tracks habe ich in einem kleinen Zimmer in Berlin mit Blick über die Spree in den letzten Wochen neu entdeckt oder gefunden. So ein netter Ausblick macht das Träumen dann doch etwas einfacher und die Wirkung auf dem Dancefloor lässt sich besser erahnen”, so Lunsen. Er spielt seit ungefähr drei Jahren regelmäßig auf der Terrasse an der Weser bei den “tanzen grillen trinken chillen”-Feten. “Man trifft immer nette Leute und die Stimmung ist super. Die Party ist schon irgendwie fast zum Wohnzimmer im heimischen Bremen geworden. Da war ich natürlich sofort dabei als Oliver Schories mich gefragt hat, ob ich wieder spielen will.”

She’s a Dancing Machine

Evolution is a fuzzy thing when it comes to electronic dance music, especially when left in the hands of certain DJ’s. From experimental to disco to pop to house and everything in between and to come, the mutation is the now and new. Known for mutations of her own, MAGDA, the Berlin resident DJ and producer, brings her influences and creations full circle in this runway soundtrack act SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE. Through over thirty tracks of classic and fresh as hell dance burners, the selection and style is reflective yet reactive to what “minimal” music and mix albums ought to create. From robotic hustles to disco house sprinkler moves and electro-tech windmills, Magda turns the years back to phuture.

Equal parts perspiration and inspiration, SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE delivers with micro-edits, custom loops and lofty effects, born out of her DJ ascension from beating the bits out of her Final Scratch in clubs. The mix has the range you’d expect with top shelf artists included such as Metro Area, Ricardo Villalobos, Marc Houle and Robert Babicz and sets up some surprises from decades past by dropping in Larry Heard and Portion Control. Amongst personal favorites from The Persuader (Svek’s Jesper Dahlbäck) she’s not afraid to loop in her own productions from Minus and her new label (along with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce), Items & Things.

SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE paints the experience and attitude from a night with Magda in control at the decks. Since the turn of the millennium she’s been building a steady fan base throughout Europe, North America and Japan with a few residencies built by demand, charming us along the way with a smile. Magda has taken the chosen not given path of a DJ with a mission- searching, finding and carving her own path from being a slave to the rhythm.
