28 Jahre Mixtape - MCG - Live Recording 10-2024

This recording is a fully improvised live set performed on the Elektron Octatrack in an active listening environment.

Using a limited setup of 8 individual sampling tracks, sequenced and played live, this performance dives deep into sound design and synthesis. Granular staging and compression are integral components of the sound.

With the exception of the vocals, every sound was crafted from a single-cycle sine wave. This approach allows the sampler to function like a polyphonic synthesizer, enabling drones, filter pings, and other sonic textures.

Tapping into a deep understanding of machine-based music and illuminated by references to her heritage, Tết 41 reflects on notions of rebirth, and the pursuit of a sonic core. From this simplicity emerge some of her most expansive, unworldly compositions to date.

Sacha Ketterlin is a Berlin-based sound artist with a distinctive musical vision. Born in Switzerland and raised in France, he has called Berlin home since 2008. 

Classically trained as a pianist, he has since become renowned for his immersive, richly textured electronic soundscapes.

Deeply influenced by techno and rave culture, Sacha Ketterlin fully immersed himself in the electronic music scene, organizing techno parties and Ambisonic events with a strong emphasis on live performance. His passion for innovative sound experiences is also reflected in his creative projects. He is the driving force behind Intumi and Higher Resonance, platforms that bring his vision of sound to life.

Ich bin ein Traumtänzer und dies ist mein „Hirngespinst“. Das Produkt einer fehlgeleiteten, überhitzten Einbildungskraft, fantastisch, abwegig und voller absurder Ideen.

Als Mensch mit ADHS (Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-Hyperaktivitätsstörung) befinde ich mich ständig im Chaos und unterliege Stimmungsschwankungen und meinem Jähzorn. Impulsivität und Abwesenheit gehören zu meinem Alltag, oft versunken und verloren in Zeit und Raum.

Ständig im Kampf gegen Zweifel, Wut und das unsichtbare Phantom, das in mir spukt und in all den Jahren beachtliche Narben auf meiner Seele hinterlassen hat. So kam es nicht selten zum Scheitern und zu Enttäuschung und Frust.

Dieser Musikkanal ist meine Selbsttherapie, um abzuschalten und mich frei zu bewegen im Spiel mit Klang und Geräuschen.

Ich nehme Euch gerne mit auf die Reise in meine Momente der Schwerelosigkeit und inneren Zufriedenheit.

Seit den 1990er Jahre in der Schublade vergraben, wurden nun viele diese Tracks ausgegraben, nachträglich digitalisiert und mit Covern und Musikvideo zu neuem Leben erweckt. Seit 2020 entstehen neue Tracks und es werden täglich mehr.

Alle Tracks sind von mir selbst arrangiert, die Videos von mir selbst gedreht und geschnitten und die Coverfotos von mir fotografiert.

Mein Künstlername „Finsteraura“ stammt aus dem "Augmented Reality Game" PokémonGo. Es handelt sich im Spiel um eine Unlichtattacke mancher Pokémon, welche besonders effektiv ist gegen Psycho- und Geistpokémon - also perfekt im Kampf gegen ADHS.

I am a dream dancer and this is my “brainpower”. The product of a misguided, overheated imagination, fantastic, outlandish and full of absurd ideas.

As a person with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) I am constantly in chaos and subject to mood swings and my irascible temper. Impulsiveness and absence are part of my everyday life, often lost and lost in time and space.

Constantly fighting against doubt, anger and the invisible phantom that haunts me and has left considerable scars on my soul over the years. So it was not uncommon for failure and disappointment and frustration.

This music channel is my self-therapy to switch off and move freely while playing with sounds and noises.

I am happy to take you on a journey into my moments of weightlessness and inner satisfaction.

Buried in the drawer since the 1990s, many of these tracks have now been dug up, subsequently digitized and brought to new life with covers and music videos. New tracks have been created since 2020 and the number is increasing every day.

All tracks are arranged by myself, the videos are shot and edited by myself and the cover photos are photographed by me.

My stage name "Finsteraura" comes from the game "Augmented Reality Game" PokémonGo. In the game, it is a dark attack of some Pokémon, which is particularly effective against psycho and ghost Pokémon - so perfect in the fight against ADHD.
