My second string quartet is animated by the wish to articulate a more intimate politics around queer distress and desires. The text, written by Jamie Shi, responds to and cares for the gifts and contributions by Wojtek Blecharz, Nico Navarro Rueda, Stellan Veloce and Weronika Wro Wrzesińska. The video is a kind of dialogic overdub that paces this immersive sound ritual, taking its cues from the late Barbara Hammer.

Dear Nyege Family Worldwide, and especially our fans and supporters in the US, today is a very sad day for us as we were really looking forward to joining our sister Kampire tonight at the Black Flamingo in New York for the closing of Red Bull Music Festival. We want to thank Red Bull and our friend and agent Matt from On the sly, and Mr David from Covey Law, as well as presidential candidate Senator Gillibrand, and our label Nyege Nyege Tapes and our manager Abbas for supporting a month long visa application process to perform in NY for a fee that is more than our combined families make in a year. Our hope never left us till the last second, but in the end, NOTHING could prove that we did not intend to run away illegally once checked in at our Holliday Inn. As two twenty year old tanzanian boys, with no secondary school education, not a single property in our name, not a shilling in our pocket, and no family in America, the consular authorithies seemed to sincerely think that there was a “better life” available for us there that we would not resist to chase. But the current situation in America does not indicate any sign that we would find more freedom, happiness and success there, or does it? The fact that we fill stadiums in Dar Es Salaam and are loved by millions in our country, that we have a tour schedule that has us play everywhere in the world, despite being featured in the Guardian, the Economist, Fact and Pitchfork, they still assumed we were going to run away and hide illegally in America, as two uneducated, non english speaking tanzanian boys. 
As we continue to try and receive our permit to come and share our culture with you, we would like to invite you to our country Tanzania, we shall grant you a visa on arrival, no matter who you are, and trust that you shall not overstay. Come and see our shows, visit our studios and we can even head all together to our Nyege festival in september in Uganda. Feel welcome! 

We recorded a mix for you, make sure you listen with full full volume and in clothes you can comfortably dance in… 

We also wish our replacement, DJ Jackson Waka, a young congolese brother who recently fled war at home (war over you know what) for a better life in Texas, we wish Jackson and Kampire and sister BEARCAT to kill the show tonight and make people dance as if they were at a singeli party in our home. We love and respect you, and for those of you who still think of artists escaping to America, think about it again, it doesn’t make sense and you’ll lose the chance to see amazing performances.

For Hyperdelia’s new album 'For Always LP' Andreas Dzialocha creates an enchanting ghost music. Animated by his solo bass playing and haunted by aleatoric acoustics, the record unearthes the instrument’s low end harmonics. The vinyl is a cute transparent blue and comes in a see-through PVC cover: limited edition of 200 copies.

For Always LP is produced in collaboration with Sam Slater (Hildur Guðnadóttir, Shapednoise, Zebra Katz, Mica Levi) and with support by composer/violist Marta Forsberg (Passepartout Duo, Ellen Arkbro, Stellan Veloce) and sound artist/singer Fågelle (Henryk Lipp).

Dzialocha recorded the initial bass material residing at the Baltic Sea in Lithuania. Afterwards and in collaboration with Sam Slater, he reworked the material in Stockholm: there they re-amped the original stems and turned the studio itself into a living dub creature. Dzialocha, who is also a programmer, created an algorithm to sequence and filter the bass inputs. This software in turn randomly enables loudspeakers, headphones and tape machines that were placed in corridors and staircases. As an eerie result, we hear both Dzialocha’s stripped-down bass playing, the (non)logic of the algorithm as well as the specific resonances of the room acoustics: all of these have merged into one sentient instrument.

'For Always LP' is populated by a myriad of these machinic, acoustic and indeed personal traces. Marta Forsberg and Klara Andersson join by providing viola (on IV) as well as guitar, voice and lyrics (For Always). The record is animated by all of these forces and in ensemble they sing a wonderfully abstracted ghost music: for always.
