Label mainstay Seb Zito provides the ‘Ragg On EP' on the ever growing Fuse label. ‘Run Along’, the eps' vinyl only track is a superbly quirky roller and shows a side of the artist we’ve yet to see with a melancholic and thoughtful streak imbuing proceedings. ‘Raggs’ is a stripped back roller, flecks of affected vocals poke through giving the track a tripped out feel. ‘Those People’ round things off nicely, with it’s chunky beats and skippy percussion bringing to mind the more classic side of Tech House from years gone by.

Autumn is upon us and with that said we are back with our sixth release in tow. 

Steppers & Sleepers would like to present to you the obscure but supremely talented Celoy and his debut ep ‘Transit’. 
The Amsterdam based producer has been carefully cultivating his sound over a number of years as well as his ever increasing kit list. A keen DJ and a collector of vinyl Celoy has taken inspiration along the way from Ricrado Villalobos, Zip, Huerco S and Conforce to name but a few. 

His sound is industrial but warm, the very composition, weave we fell in love with when we first stumbled upon Celoy if you like. 

On remix duty is a long time friend of ours hailing from our neck of the woods by the name of Samu.l. We were having something of a listening session, less glamorous than it sounds and 'Kech' caught Samu.l's ear and as a result, we have been blessed with a signature style edit which lends a strong sensibility to the dance floor.

I can't quite remember where I was when I first heard this masterpiece from Matt Dear but it resonated with me instantly. And judging by how many DJs got behind it "Mouth to Mouth" was destined to become a classic. The 10 year anniversary is quite special for me not only because of how timeless and relevant the track remains, but 2006 was also the year I branched out as a solo artist. So thank you Matt for the inspiration and I hope my take on it complements the original masterpiece. - Dubfire

As well-received as Audion's debut album—the sawed-off techno of Suckfish—was back in 2005, Matthew Dear's alter ego didn't assert its dominance until the following year. That's when Richie Hawtin slipped Audion's next single (the anthem-on-arrival that is "Mouth to Mouth") into the closing set of Detroit's Electronic Music Festival, pulling the pin on the weekend's most explosive moment and leaving everyone wondering what the hell just happened. 

Which was kinda the point. Dear wrote and recorded "Mouth to Mouth" right after a two-week tour of Europe, and in many ways, its hypnotic rhythms and signature bee swarm hook—cut in real time over the course of a couple restless hours—are meant to replicate the rush he felt in many overseas clubs.

"There was a great energy being shared by a lot of artists then," explains Dear. "I remember playing the song for a few people and it was clear something special was happening, something meditative in the simple repetition and slow build of it all."

The side-long single has stood the test of time, too, enough to warrant another look along the ambitious lines of Mouth to Mouth 10. The double pack reveals how one track can take on a life of its own in the hands of eight distinct producers, keeping its core intact without being afraid to manipulate the record's overall mood. So while Riva Starr's mischievous version sounds like it could be dropped in the middle of a sweaty Horse Meat Disco set, Dubfire lurks in the shadows, waiting to strike; and Dense & Pika crank up the chaos like a pressure cooker set to self-destruct.

"I asked everyone to treat their remix like a cover," explains Dear, "letting the theme guide them rather than the parts. Everyone put a piece of themselves into it, and I'll forever be grateful to them for contributing." 

He can also breathe a sigh of relief, for Mouth to Mouth 10 marks the end of Audion's first chapter and the beginning of what's to come with his long-awaited second LP this summer.
