Doc Martin is a bona fide legend of the house music scene, and his involvement with the music can be traced back to the mid-80s.  Right there on the cusp of the house sound, Doc has become synonymous with the West Coast of America’s dance scene.   From spinning records in San Francisco, various residencies in New York, tours with the likes of Grace Jones, The Prodigy, Moby and Dee-Lite, and welcomed with open arms across Europe at clubs like Back To Basics, Cream and Ministry Of Sound, Doc Martin has tirelessly supported the music over the year with a great passion.

As a producer, Doc has served up A list productions on labels like Moonshine Music, Siesta, Wax Records and Sublevel, as well as DJ mix compilations for Fabric, DM and Nitegrooves, quite simply Doc Martin is the DJs DJ, and it’s a huge pleasure to have him on this weeks Source to Cycle.

A very special 40th episode showcases arguably one of the best triple packs every released, especially considering it was relatively early in the timeline of mix cd history (1996). It features selections from Derrick Carter, Andrew Weatherall and Back to Basic's resident, Ralph Lawson.

We originally featured this CD in the early days of The Classic Mix CD Series, when it was recommended by Shindig's Scott Bradford as his most influential piece in his collection.

So it's fitting, that after more shouts out to use it from everyone on Facebook, that we feature all 3 discs for the 400th episode celebration. Thanks to everyone for getting involved all of the plays and positive messages.

OMP Entertainment presents its yearly costumed event with no other than the Maestro of all things house, Derrick Carter live at Rootz Kuala Lumpur 31.10.09. This was an amazing night with DC playing for 4 hours  in only his second visit to Malaysia since 2002. Check the shout out at the very end of the set by DC to the 600+ that were there to show their love and appreciation to one of the living legends of house music.
