André Barros is a Portuguese selftaught pianist and composer who has steadily been building his portfolio as a live performer and film composer. In 2010 he applied for the degree in musical production held on ETIC (Technical School of Image and Communication), Lisbon, which gives him, two years later, the necessary tools to be able to produce his own work. In order to consolidate his gathered skills, André had the privilege of carrying out a three-month internship in Sundlaugin (founded by Sigur Rós), Álafoss, Iceland, filling the position of assistant to sound engineer. Recently he has collaborated with film projects from the USA, Iceland, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Japan and one of these works (‘Our Father’ by Linda Palmer) has granted him a ‘Best Score’ award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. He is based in Lisbon and will soon release his 4th studio album, entitled "Reasons".
