Anticipation has been building for the release of the brand new Birds of Paradise album. The project comprised of Torin Goodnight (Bird of Prey) and Tyler Gibson (GIBSON) has been blending the worlds of psytrance, dubstep, and breakbeats for nearly three years. The Ascended Blasters EP led to the triumphant release of Flight Patterns, out October 7th on Addictech.

Today's premiere of "Mirage" demonstrates the duo's ability to blur genres with a midtempo, bass-infused, tropical adventure. Equal parts melodic and groove-intensive, the track is closer to breaks than the previous single from the album,"Tunnel Visions." As tempos continue to rise in the psychedelic bass scene, a swirling mix of varying influences advances the industry in an unending quest for a more conscious culture.

As part of that quest to bring spiritual music to the electronic dance marketplace, Goodnight as Bird of Prey is hitting the road with sonic shaman Kalya Scintilla on The Divine Alignment tour, sponsored by TheUntz.com. Bringing their healing bass to both coasts, the southeast, and Canada beginning this weekend, the sounds of a utopian future are certainly spreading faster than we ever imagined.

Deep in the outer reaches of the unknown multiverse lies a barren planet, locked in a post-apocalyptic mecha-dystopia: Slothopolis. Traces of life as we know it have long since disappeared. From underneath the rubble and debris of a fallen stato-scraper, movement is detected by a rogue sonolazer falling from it's final orbit. This disturbance slowly but surely rises to the surface creating monstrous earthquakes with every agitation. Using every bit of stored energy, this cyberbeast rises from the dust. One lone megatherium, on a search for the last of the remaining ultrasloths.

A movement towards wholeness in 4 parts.

Fresh on the heels of his Billboard charting album “Sci-Fi Lullabies”, Bluetech returns with a deep dive into genre-defying electronic music on his new double LP “Holotrope”.  Imagined as a psychonauts journey into inner space and back, “Holotrope” contains 4 distinct continuously mixed journeys, each designed to fill a single side of vinyl.

As the album unfolds through the four movements of Descending, Expanding, Ascending & Integrating, Bluetech displays his signature penchant for ping-ponging melodic interplay, creative modular synthesis, atmospheric sound design, and dubwise fx manipulation.  Touching down in ambient, downtempo, space disco, electro, dub house, and spacehop territories, “Holotrope” still contains a cohesive aesthetic that is instantly recognizable as the Bluetech sound.

Inspired by Holotropic Breathwork, meditation, lucid dreaming and journeys through the imaginal realms, “Holotrope” presents a map of movement through layers of perception.  Starting with a centering in the physical body and descending into the realms of expanded awareness and ego dissolution, the music charts a serpentine path through ever deep states of being.
