For the fourth Outplay vinyl release we welcome Laurence Guy to the family and have Brame & Hamo on remix duties. It’s paired with two originals by Outplay's own Junktion and Daniël Leseman.
Laurence delivers a wonderful synth driven opener with “Strings Attached”. While Junktion brings his familiar grooves with the jazzy “Breakfast at Midnight”, Brame & Hamo flip it into a dubby stomper to heat up the floors. Daniël Leseman gets to round up the EP with his warm and melodic “On My Mind”.

Melokolektiv’s French roots stay firmly put in “Blame”, his first release as a one man project. 
Opening track “Blame” is a steady tech groove exploration that fits both the dancefloor and late-evening downtime. A mumbling vocal helps build up a slowly ascending tension that lingers on til the end of the track. 
“Children of Alep” starts off on a tribal note, as blunt percussion pads intertwine with solemn bells, but soon delves into the deep tech territory. Punctuated by gritty riffs and synths, all the initial elements are stripped off and the bassline remains the centerpiece. 
Sei A, Scottish producer known for his affinity for bass, injects the track with plenty of bounce. Sub bass bits mix with rattling low end synths, giving the remix an electric feel.
Bass is the key word for the final track as well. “Magnetic Woods” is filled with raw techno power infused through gripping bass and a minimalist structure. Percussion pounds heavily throughout the full length of the track, while dramatic synth pads set a very energetic tone.

These four original tracks play on the EP's title with gritty drums, factory line rhythms, synth decay and motorised bass lines – marking his first venture with LA label 100% Silk. "Vibradreams" (which also closed Silk's Upfront last year) exemplifies the new musical realm Buz Ludzha is exploring: cassette textures with pitch-bent acid squelches and synth melodies streaked with gain.
