* Zigzag bowings
* Dynamics
* Blocked strings
* Music theory: scale degrees

Skipping Puddles in the Sunshine also invites students to explore how emotions change throughout the piece. The teacher might want to explain how the use of different scale degrees changes the melody from major to minor.
