Departures is such an appropriate title for this EP, as not only is this a departure from what many have come to expect from André but also these songs really take you on a journey that is a departure from your daily concerns. 

When I was asked to do a painting for the cover, I wanted to capture the idea that the song has always been playing & always will be playing, and we just happen to be catching a small sliver of it. I hope when viewing the art that it takes you closer to the music, not further away.

The songs are a mix of sonic bliss & melancholy, with very memorable melodies. 

Don’t be surprised if “Departures” brings you right back to your center.

the transcendence of the ego

with nostalgic feelings i am picking back up the dreamscapes series after a 14 year hiatus. historically, it has been a pure trance series, but now will include all progressive sounds throughout the house and trance spectrum. mostly new tracks with a few golden oldies from my late naughties rave era.

competitive and ultra-endurance cycling has been my main focus for the past few years, and progressive house and trance are almost always the sonic fuel to that fire, so this return has been a brewing idea for some time.
