The Safari Mixes

Set that i was playing at this year's Camp Cosmic Festival near Gnesta in Sweden. Thanks Albion & Crew for creating this little paradise there, i had the best time !

Shoutout to my friend Sebastian who's in the mix with two tracks: the intro and somewhere later with his project "Der Räuber und der Prinz". The narrative voice is another friend from Düsseldorf, who's here with two tracks as well: the last one as "Kreidler" and one in the middle as his solo project "Tolouse Low Trax".
Also thanks to George (Black Merlin) for showing me the crazy greek track and to Cesare (Boxes of Toys) for two beauties from Japan.

Safari III (Camp Cosmic 2013)

Polja Festival just saw it's first edition on the hilly slopes of Šumadija region in Serbia. Organized by Dis-patch and Drugstore collectives, festival brought interesting blend of traditional Serbian and Balkan folk concerts, experimental live performances and safari oriented dj sets. We're presenting you concerts of Svetlana Spajić & Miloš Nikolić, Ved Trio and 3h50min excerpt from the marathon dj set of safari maestro Andre Pahl. Enjoy and hope to see you next year at Polja Festival.

Brussels based musical activist and collector/selector DJ soFa aka soFa Elsewhere joins us for the 30th edition of our Off The Record mix series after a short break, and what a mix to get it all back kicking off. Known for his excellent Elsewhere compilation series he curates, soFa shows his diverse selection here travelling from chuggy industrial and percussion-y rhythms to acid baselines and pumping house.

For this episode of Sascha's 'Das Zen' series he has teamed up with the other man of the moment 'Herr Wandt' or Niklas as we have endearingly gotten to know him. 

Expect the usual awesome musical selections with plenty of curve-balls, left-side-spinners, kraut-back machine jams and a big dose of zen-not-zen sonic mayhem.

This is my set at Camp Cosmic 2019,  8 o’ clock when the sun came up. 
I think it was one of my all time favourites — the energy of the audience dancing & smiling in front of me was super beautiful and what Camp Cosmic means to me… One love!

The set is re-recorded from my blurred memory and 45 minutes of my phone grabbing the sound — the recorder disappeared into the fog, such as the rest of the set… But I tried my best to puzzle together what i played.
