Studio Sessions

Recording of my live set played at Humanized Live Acts @ Strom Camp 2023, Blackbox, Nürnberg on Sat Dec. 2 2023. My compositions are produced and prepared in Ableton Live. I performed them using Ableton Push 2. 

A Max for Live MIDI Device that I have developed since beginning of this year is included.

Unfortunately, a lo-cut at 180Hz was switched on in my recorder, so the lo end is missing.

Using Ableton Live 10 for sequencing and mixing. Push 1.0 Controller ist used for launching clips and controlling parameters of devices within Live. The bass voice is synthesized using an Arturia Minibrute 2. Another voice is created within my Arturia Rackbrute modular system. Both analog voices are sequenced and routed into Live's MIDI and Audio signal flow via Live's External Instrument Device. No automations are used.

Inspired by some late-evening nerd talk with people from Producer Meeting Nürnberg about "Pop Rocks" based House music. I've tried to create my version of the popping sound with Rings from Mutable Instruments. I've then added some more midi clips and sounds with a kind of randomness, to reflect the seemingly random nature of the popping. This is the recording of the first take on improvising an arrangement afterwards.
