The artist behind this next release is one of Europe’s most well known jump up producers who has championed the jump up drum and bass sound via his legendary label Phantom dub digital for years, I could only talking about the Deutschland based veteran producer Shrust. With a string of releases on some of the most well known jump up labels, from Dub Voltage to Ten Ton Beats,
Shrust carefully chooses the labels he records under and now he has turned his attention to Wobble Infection digital. It is widely known in the dnb industry that Shrust very rarely produces EP’s for any other labels apart from his own, he is normally someone who releases heavyweight singles, but the good folks at Wobble Infection have locked him down to a 4 track beast of an EP increasing the WID hit list.

AKOV breaks all the rules and takes us on a 12 minute Journey through the versatile world of drum & bass, with his new track ‘The Exodus’. 

A summary of everything that has inspired the artist since the beginning of his career, AKOV explores previously uncharted territory from Ambient to Liquid, Jungle, Deep rolling, HalfTime and Neurofunk all within the confines of one composition. Originally intended as a soundtrack to a chapter within the artist’s Concept story, previously explored in ‘The Initiation EP; The Exodus accompanies the moment Humanity leaves earth in search of another inhabitable planet, while also symbolically representing the Artists venture into new areas of the Genre.

This is not your average AKOV track” States the artist; “I wanted to create something that demands your patient attention.” “ something that explores a whole range of emotion and isn’t just about Riling people up on the dance floor.” “Drum & Bass is arguably one of the most versatile genres out there and I wanted to pay homage to that fact. It was refreshing to express myself through something that wasn’t just straight Neurofunk, it can become limiting getting stuck in a certain sub Genre and I wanted to showcase my versatility as an artists and person”
