Original Son del Barrio; de Monterrey, nos presenta su primer álbum Tropical Gueto. Un viaje a través de distintos vecindarios, con una colección de sonidos abarcando géneros desde la Cumbia Digital y el Hip Hop hasta el Reggae y Tropical Bass. Gestándose como una colaboración entre México y Alemania (en la que figuran el cantante y miembro fundador Ángel Pérez y el DJ y productor Andrés Digital); este experimento tropical comienza con una serie de conciertos en Roma, Amsterdam y París. Fue en dicha gira que se trazaron los planes para la coproducción de Tropical Gueto; proyecto que vio la participación de Indepe Roots, Bianca Ciocca, Moska Hernandez y Feo Feo Records; así como la participación de Gran Om; encargándose del diseño gráfico. Tropical Gueto propone un alto estándar de calidad para la Cumbia Digital; estableciéndose como un sólido punto de referencia para el género. Ángel Pérez (Son del Barrio) presta su voz a las calles y a la cultura de los barrios de Monterrey, en el lenguaje expresivo de sus propias composiciones y letras; a través de las sensibilidades y el ingenio técnico del productor y DJ Andrés Digital.

Original Son del Barrio, from Monterrey; presenting their first album Tropical Gueto. A trip through different neighbourhoods, with a collection of sounds ranging from Digital Cumbia and Hip-hop to Reggae and Tropical bass. Created as a collaboration between Mexico and Germany (featuring founding member and singer Angel Perez, and Dj and producer Andres Digital), this tropical experiment begins with a series of concerts in Rome, Amsterdam and Paris. Plans are laid for the co-production of Tropical Gueto in said tour; and the resulting efforts saw the participation of Indepe Roots, Bianca Ciocca, Moska Hernandez and Feo Feo Records; as well as Gran Om, on art duties. Tropical Gueto sets the bar high for Digital Cumbia, setting a clear benchmark for the genre. Angel Perez (aka Son del Barrio) lends his voice to the streets and the “barrio” culture of Monterrey, in the expressive language of his own lyrics and compositions; through the sensitivity and technical ingenuity of producer and Dj Andres Digital.
