The Angel came, and sang to her,
Of righteousness and peace on earth,
And all the world will know her baby boy.
The powerful will lose their thrones,

The suffering, the lonely and the poor.

Full of hope, she joined the song:

At his birth, she wept for him,
This little God, this tiny king,
Her tears of joy, this precious baby boy.
His cry rang out, into the night,
She kissed his head, to comfort God,
Carefully she laid her baby down.

Where is he now, the blessed child?
He’s eating bread, he’s running wild,

Andy Billington is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently living in England's deep dark south. He has been making music since his university days where he started out with an analogue 4-track. Four albums followed those early experimental days. Born and raised in the midlands Andy's latest album- Mercy Mercia is an exploration of life growing up in one of England's ancient capitals.
Recently the contemporary English folk band Spitdust have re-mixed some of Andy’s songs bringing a different flavour and vibe to the original lyrics, check out their Soundcloud page.
Andy’s songs are a blend of Indie, Pop/Rock and Alternative Folk. Lyrical with strong melodies.
