Whats up guys? I've started up a little cloudcast I like to call the "Funk Trunk" and I'll be doing monthly installments. Each episode will be totally different, from the sounds to the genres, and feature up and coming artists I'm watching as well as the stuff that is inspiring me. The next instalment of my Golden Era Podcast series is here, Including an interview with Legendary British Funk act Cymande. These are Funk tracks from the 60's - 70's which are my personal favourites and inspired me to do what I do today. Funk is a style, genre a way of life that has been the biggest influence in my career. In this mix it takes in everything that I love about how Funk can be Latin, Jazz, Folk, Rock but if it's Funky then it can fit under that bracket !!

Politics, the news, senseless deaths... got me feelin' pretty helpless recently. I wrote Can't Hold Me Down as a piece of motivation for those who are feelin' down and struggling in their lives. 

I saw a live performance video of Tash Neal (from The London Souls) playing and knew instantly we had to work together. I wrote the demo and sent it his way. What I got back was magic. Tash is perfect on this tune. 

Don't curse the darkness, be a light. Be the force that pushes others to keep their heads high and stay inspired. Stand up for what you believe in at all costs. Never give up on people.
