Malaketh bound the black blade within his own flesh to prevent the stolen rune of death from being taken again, but in doing so, he became an eternally hungry creature and the manifestation of death itself.

Maliketh

At the summit of a crumbling tower, where time had weathered the stone into a somber silhouette against the twilight sky. 

Within the tower's confines, the air hung heavy with a spectral chill, as if the whispers of bygone melodies haunted its every corner. Without hands to grace its keys, the sounds of weaving enchanting harmonies still continued into the void, alone it stood, a weathered sentinel in the solitude of the tower's heights. Yet, amidst the desolation lingered an eerie resonance of an echo that reverberated through the hollow chambers, casting a shadow of darkness upon the forsaken spire. 

A solitary figure approached the tower, their footsteps echoing through the hollow corridors. At the summit, Mesmerized by the haunting music, the figure stood transfixed. Hours passed, and something unseen began to seep into their mind, a dark, whispering voice weaving through their thoughts.

Part 1 - Desolated Keys - Andrew Camuso

Desolated Keys

Upon descended and leaving the tower, a darkness loomed over them. Their eyes held a distant, haunted look, and their demeanour had shifted to something almost unrecognizable. 

Returning to their village, the dark voice continued to worm its way deeper into their mind, growing stronger and more insistent. The once gentle and kind-hearted individual began to exhibit erratic and violent behaviour.

Over time, the dark thoughts transformed them into a monstrous being, driven by an insatiable thirst for blood. As the whispers grew louder, the individual could no longer resist the dark urges and the village streets soon flowed with rivers of blood. The once peaceful village was thrown into chaos and despair, haunted by the malevolent force that had been unleashed from the depths of the crumbling tower.

Stood in the centre of a growing pool of blood chanting in a  language forgotten by time. The blood began to bubble and swirl, forming a dark vortex. From the depths of the crimson pool, a monstrous steed emerged, its body a shadowy amalgamation of darkness and sinew. The voice spoke to the individual, its tone dark and commanding. After a short pause, the individual turned away from the devastation and climbed onto the dark steed.
