Seven Nation Army Cover

Here's a cover of Reptilia by The Strokes. I played the sax for the vocal part (I did some heavy editing, this song was more about the guitar than the sax) and the guitar was played by user TheMarkOfRamos. If you'd like the backing track (I made the drums and bass by hand) feel free to PM me. I can give it to you with any combination of parts you see here, including taking out specific drum parts (e.g., taking out the snare or kick). I used a free library for them, so each track is completely independent of one another.

Reptilia Cover

Here's a preliminary cover of Moanin' by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. I may turn this into a duet with a friend of mine, so stay tuned!

Drums courtesy of 99sounds.org's sample libraries along with other various libraries acquired over time. 

I played the Head on piano, and put together the drum beat from the previously mentioned samples. The bass and chord changes over improv came from a midi track I found somewhere online. 

I did the entire song in two takes(following Art Blakey's philosophy of one take and done), one for the first half of the song and the second for the second half (I may want to eventually switch out a solo section with someone else so I wanted there to be a clear division). Please excuse any rough patches in the solo section, I had a lot of fun recording this one so I wasn't always paying attention to what sounds good!

Hi! I'm a young sax player, guitar player, and aspiring audio engineer, here to share my music! I do covers of all types of songs from rock to funk with soundcloud user TheMarkOfRamos on guitar in the "My Covers" playlist, and do my own jazz/swing/blues covers  in the "Jazz/Blues Tunes" playlist.

I also do fully produced covers of songs with a group of friends, trying to recreate the song as closely as possible, or put our own twist on it.
