I learned how to cook a version of the Cambodian curry AMOK this year.  It is my favorite dish and I make it over and over again.  I can't get enough.  

This song bubbled up WHILE I WAS EATING.  When I listened to the recording later, I realized that it could be a very very useful little song for any guest to use after consuming a delicious meal cooked for them by a host.  I recommend substituting "amok" for whatever they have cooked you in order to avoid confusion. 

I also recommend MULTIPLE repetitive singing of this little song, in an effort to get everyone to join you in thanking the host in song.  Best case scenario you are a hero and your host feels like a god.  Worst case is that you are embarrassed. 

This is (obviously) an equation that is worth risking.  

But then, you are clearly reading the words of a man with an exceedingly high threshold or embarrassment.

While this song was inspired by genuine realities that I observed firsthand, it was  by no means inspired by any of the cousins that I have.  In the entire range of my experience with my own cousins (first and second), I have never ever met a cousin who was an asshole.  

They also have all returned my phone calls very directly. 

On the other hand I have met a terribly lot of people who are constantly setting up their own little heavens and hells.  Deciding not to believe in those sorts of things seems very wise.

I can never thank Becca enough for sending me a snapshot of this song -- every word already channeled from some genius lyricist who transcribed them straight from the gods of song onto a polite paper sign that was posted somewhere where Becca (a music therapist) found it with her camera.  

As soon as I saw it -- I knew that it wasn't ever intended to just be a polite paper sign.  It was meant to be a song on this album.
