There’s beauty in the art of teasing. To build the groove of a night slowly and piece by piece is a commonplace ideal, but not many are willing to sacrifice the early moments of gratification for a potentially more rewarding experience. Enter Garçon: The Basel-based music afficcionado has steadily built his reputation as an expert in mood modulation. Combining hypnotic grooves from all corners of electronic music, he’s crafted a style firmly rooted in techno, with a singular affinity for the rhythmically dexterous landscapes that stretch beyond. An original resident of (now defunct) Basel institution Hinterhof, Garçon – in cooperation with ally Agonis – continues developing the Amenthia imprint’s unique sonic identity at Elysia, taking full advantage of the utilitarian space.

No need for introduction when it comes to https://soundcloud.com/naturalelectronicsystem Originally from Naples, the duo has been playing in the most reputed festivals and clubs worldwide from Labyrinth to Paral-lel Festival, providing always acclaimed productions with a big respect of a large fan base.  On this fourth instalment of my residency, I’m hosting half of the duo, friend Valerio Gomez de Ayala for a journey into some of his favorite ambient records, he doesn’t use to play in clubs. I’m on the first hour, Valerio the second.

Back at the end of the ’90s, Valerio started to collect techno, IDM, ambient, experimental, house and electronic music records from all over the world. In the early ’00, he had the opportunity to work in a local club in the Vesuvian area where he had to play very Mainstream music, but training also himself in the meantime hours before the party or when the club was closed by recording tapes with music he liked. Following this very first experience, he finally had the opportunity to buy his own turntables and improved his technic. 
Then, in 2004 , he started with his high school friend and musical soulmate, Antonio Giova , the natural/electronic.system. project in order to express their personal idea of sound. 

Next for duo, Mediterranea EP on Tikita which will hit the stores this month. They are also preparing an upcoming EP on Delsin, one of their all time favorite labels and are working on lot of music right now.

Over the course of a career spanning over 1.5 decades, and which includes a tight relationship with the esteemed record label @tikitarec, a collaboration with @neel, and key performances at festivals such as Labyrinth (@mindgameslaby), @wakinglifeportugal and @parallelfestival, Antonio has developed a unique sense of texture, atmosphere and narrative which glows deeply in both his productions and his mixes.

Based on his set from our Winter Edition party at ://about.blank in late-February 2020, Antonio let his intuition guide him with this Patterns of Perception 60. The outcome is somehow both raw and seamless, a vignette of ethereal proportions: eternal and infinite, timeless and dimensionless.
