Two years on from his last release for the label highly rated Italian producer Pirupa is back tearing it up at Saved Towers once again. His three-track EP dives straight into dark, underground tech-house that bristles with the kind of intense atmosphere that has made his tunes such bona fide floor destroyers over the last few years.

“Wise” is built around a sense of urgency and momentum, garnered through relentlessly stabbing basslines, elongated pads, alarm-like melodies and weighty drums. Tension builds throughout the track, tittering on the edge but never spilling over into chaos, preferring instead to revel in the murky, paranoid swirls of uncertainty.

“Can You Hear Me” is once again full of compulsion and drive, but this time comes with a fresh injection of swing. Its deep bassline sways wildly, throwing the groove into an intoxicating whirlwind as chopped-up synths swoon across the top to add the addictive hook that keeps the track ploughing forward so powerfully. “Sunrain” is all about the intricate, chiming melodies that Pirupa masterfully manages to interplay not just with each other, but also with the cylindrical beats that tumble away in the bottom end. All three tracks are fueling the fires of a distinctive producer who consistently churns out music with bags of personality.

November sees not only one release from an Italian on Moon Harbour, but two. The first was from Riva Starr, and hot on his heels is the top team of Paul C & Paolo Martini. This pair has released on a wide array of labels and has a broad house sound that takes in many influences. One of those labels is Moon Harbour, where they have contributed a number of tracks to various Inhouse compilations over the years, but now they get a chance to really stretch their musical legs across a fantastic three track EP of their own.

November is coming to an end and we, at elrow Music, are preparing a very interesting Christmas for you, our most avid listeners. But before Santa's craze starts taking over all of us, elrow Music is taking another trip to Italy to bring you the interesting tandem made of Gabriele di Natale & Antonio Cosentino, aka Proudly People. The up-and-coming producers and DJs deliver this ERM 144, a three track affair with two originals and one high-rolling remixby ANOTR, that goes by the name of Blind Spot EP.

Opening this work we have'Flown Alone (Original Mix)', in which we can hear Proudly People's original take on the song, with a steadier and techier progression, with a main quick break just in the middle of the track, again almost taking away any melodic element the track might develop, making this track a straight dancefloor affair.

After, we find Flown Alone (ANOTR Remix)', in which the Dutch duo give the original a complete twist, making it more deeper, with a minimal-ish progression, taking away almost all the vocal treatment and with a complete different tempo, making it an authentic beast.

Finally, closing the EP we can find 'Blind Spot (Original Mix)', a pure tech-house banger, with almost no melodies, some FX here and there, and percussion-heavy treatment, standing out thanks to the hip-hopish vocal line, and the one big break towards the end of the tune.
