Veni, O Oriens

Henrik Wergeland (1808-45), Norwegian poet, wrote an impassioned poem on his deathbed in which he invokes the spring to come and save him: "O springtime! Springtime, save me, for no-one has loved you more tenderly than I". This setting was written for Grex Vocalis/Carl Høgset and is heard here in a live performance from Oslo, spring 2018.
