Anjunadeep announces a brand new remix of Ben Böhmer’s ‘Revelation’ featuring PBSR, from rising star Barry Can’t Swim.

Ben Böhmer’s sophomore album ‘Begin Again’ was released in September 2021, and has now racked up over 30 million streams and two ‘Chillest Record’ picks on Sian Eleri’s BBC Radio 1 show. In addition, alongside the album, Ben has sold out a live world tour, including dates at London’s Roundhouse, Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre, and San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall - twice!

Joshua Mainnie, aka Barry Can’t Swim, first burst onto the dance scene in 2020, and quickly received support from Annie Mac on her Friday night BBC Radio 1 show. From there, he went on to release on Shall Not Fade and Ninja Tune’s imprint Technicolour and remix for the likes of Bob Moses and Elderbrook.

His latest offering ‘Blackpool Boulevard’ gained the stamp of approval from both Pete Tong and Danny Howard, who picked the record as their ‘Essential New Tune’ and ‘Hottest Record’ respectively. His music has received praise from Clash Magazine, The Skinny and was recently described as ‘the kind of house music that makes summer more a state of mind than a season’ by Billboard in their piece ‘10 Dance Artists To Watch in 2022’.

Mainnie’s creative abilities are at their best in his remix of ‘Revelation’, as he reshapes PBSR’s vocals and reinvents the understated original into an exceptionally dynamic new offering.

Ben Böhmer feat. PBSR  - Revelation (Barry Can't Swim Remix)

DUALITY: An album in two parts.

Since day one, I have always struggled with how to present myself. Am I a dance music producer who does downtempo / experimental albums? Or is it the other way around? My first album had a bit of both, which is why I have referred to ‘Duality’ as the true followup to ‘It’s Artificial’. Part One focuses on the downtempo side of things with hints of indie-pop, while Part Two explores my progressive and trance roots. This is by far my most raw and honest work. On June 1, we released two songs from each part: “Equal” with Asbjørn (Official), and “Midnight” with Alison May.

I did not do this album alone. These are more than just “features,” these are collaborations. Together, we have woven a massive journey that is deeply personal, and showcases our most vulnerable selves. Many of these fabulous collaborators are also LGBT+, and I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful musical family.

One of the most remarkable Russian electronic music producers and co-founder of Intricate Records, Vladimir Yershov shares his feeling of the approaching spring 2014 with all listeners and clubbers – he presents the latest extended play which consists of two productions by PROFF solo. The first one, entitled «Paradigm», is distinguished by light, even elevated sunny sound and partially exudes musical optimism that is so frequently found in the works of Eric Prydz. The second track holds a very small distance to the first one. It might seem extraordinary, but musical pieces with titles containing the phrase «What It Feels Like», no matter what genre they were composed in, are united by some sort of invisible international magic. Be it the prominent song by Madonna, «What It Feels Like for a Girl», the track by Armin van Buuren «This Is What It Feels Like» or the like-named song of BANKS from the United States. PROFF’s newest production «What It Feels Like» is no exception in this context. In addition to a bright and lively reassuring melody, it comes with fantastic emotionalism, excitement and overflowing joy. Those followers who were with the label from the very beginning won’t allow telling a lie – Intricate Records did not release such an entirely harmonic and ultra-positive single for ages.

SØNIN releases his debut EP on Anjunabeats, the ‘Affection EP’. 

Anton Sonin, aka SØNIN, cut his teeth as a producer in a studio space in Helsinki, shared with compatriots Super8 & Tab, Yotto and Supermodels From Paris - he also worked with Super8 & Tab on their iconic Anjunabeats single ‘Black Is The New Yellow'. More recently, he's released on the label as part of the Rising EP series, contributed to gardenstate's 'Inspirations' album, and remixed Super 8 & Tab's 'Mercy' of part of the ten-year anniversary celebrations for their iconic ‘Empire’ LP. He also delivering a head-turning set at Above & Beyond's Group Therapy Weekender London festival last September.

His latest collaboration with Yotto, ‘Let You Go’, released on Odd One Out, racked up over 400K streams in under a month, and his last release on Anjunabeats, ‘Passion’ (with Oliver Smith), climbed to #1 on the Beatport Trance chart.

SØNIN’s ‘Affection EP’ features four tracks, including 'Passion', 'Waterfall', and a collaboration with Aiobahn, 'Luna'. The trailblazing South Korean producer is a fellow graduate from the Anjunabeats Rising series, following the release of 'tonite' in September 2021.
