Orchestral/Jazzy/Hybrid Compositions

3rd iteration of CleanWeb podcast intro, following a series of suggestions from the CleanWeb team.  They wanted something more "epic, with strings and orchestration, but something like Killswitch Engage's Daylight Dies."

This was my attempt at such a feat.  I still don't like the drums, but the strings build nicely I think!

Used Logic Pro for all of it.

CleanCast Epic V1

Written for a yet unfinished Mobile Game called Xudona Sol, by Shadow Demon Entertainment, taking place in space in the distant future.  As a sole survivor of a devastating alien pre-emptive attack to the Earth Military's Outer Base, you must use your starfighter to save the human race.

This is the Title Menu Track, originally concepted by our Producer Jeremy English, and I simply played with his melody and arpeggio and fleshed it out with a beat and other instrumentation/harmonies.  It's written to loop, in case the player takes a while to start the game... so apologies for the brief ending!

Demo for Teaser trailer in the works... Inspired by Gary Jules' "Mad World" (hence the title), as well as Clint Mansell's work in the Fountain, and basically everything else he does.  I wanted the feel of the piece to be a haunting yet beautiful, sad and ominous feeling backdrop to the game designer's trailer plotline.

Rough mix, limited myself to around a minute.  
Composed in a day, using Logic Pro primarily.

Sad World, Extended

Yep, Battlestar Galactica inspired.  Well, Bear McCreary, more accurately.  There was a cool soundscape theme he had under an entire intro to the season 2 finale, with a melody I just couldn't get out of my head.  Thus, I recorded this...Mostly acoustic.  Opted for a different time signature, added in string and orchestral drum samples via Reason.

Little bit 'o everything; tunes designed for various stages in a house flipping app; from a light hearted folksy menu tune to an EDM pumpin' dance track when your house is renovated and you get the big reveal!

Bits from the various cues made for the dialog and subsequent quests around Wizard City and the hunt for "The Harvest Lord" who has kidnapped one of The Wizard's classmates!  Oooohhhh yep, he's a big creep.
