A few weekends back I decided to stream a live dj set from home given the current restrictions here in sunny Sydney. Sadly (and not to any surprise) the recording was cutting out and inconsistent. Luckily the trusty old XDJ-RX had the onboard recorder running and captured the whole set, uninterrupted and in the full (I kept playing for a while after giving up on Mixcloud). 

So there's a little over an hour and a half of music in there. Given the relaxed environment that comes with streaming, it's a mixed bag of styles. Starting of with some funk, then getting a little deep before finishing off with some uptempo disco and "Slav" style rollers. If you're looking for the bigger club tunes they're in there, Just let the set roll along and enjoy!

Andrew Fazz *Live Stream Sessions* Vol II

Recorded a mix for my good friends at Global Sounds this weekend. 
We connected a few months back online and have since been chatting about all things music, art, politics and of corse cooking Italian & Sri Lankan food!

It's been really nice talking with boss man Muka. You can pick up on his raw energy which is really honest and passionate about sharing music from all around the world, talking about how we can translate that energy to others and share the music we love at the same time.

Having these chats has brought me back to why I love doing this and feeding off Muka's genuine vibe made this mix that little extra special.

The tracks for this session were collected over the past few weeks and recorded yesterday from my apartment. Digging through my more recent purchases of records and digital music that I'm vibing right now, leaning more towards deeper and melodic house with a few touches of funk & disco.

Andrew Fazz *Live Stream Session* Vol. VI

We're back in action with a brand new mix series to mark the occasion!

This first entry is one we carefully compiled and constructed over a few months, during which we each took turns adding new sections of music we felt were both cohesive for the mix and aligned with our sound.

Within, you'll hear a few closely-held favourites, as well as some newer burners that have been tickling our collective ear, quickly becoming absolute staples and future classics.

We'll also be inviting our nearest, dearest, favourites and family to contribute to the series—stalwarts and fresh faces, alike!—so there's plenty more to come.

(You should also expect to see us popping up a little a more 'round town in the near future, too!)

The legendary Seltzer experts at Framer recently invited me to play for a product showcase party they were hosting at the Lord Roberts Hotel rooftop. 

This was a particularly special one for me as the guys have been some of the biggest supporters of my @Atticsydney brand and of my music personally, so to play for them and their passion project was extra nice.

We ended up running just over 4 hours and captured 90 minutes of the session that you're listening to here. As you'd expect for a rooftop afternoon session there's plenty of easy listening summery vibes.

Live at Nights Like This! (Attic Takeover) at Goodbar (20th January, 2018)

A massive milestone in Sydney's dance music scene, the incredibly consistent and ridiculously fun S*A*S*H turns 7  ! HUGE !
 
It was very humbling to get a call from Kerry, Cris & the S*A*S*H gang - inviting the Attic boys Brendan Clay & Andrew Fazzolari to help celebrate the  special occasion.
 
As expected, it was a deep and disco set in the MAZE @ Home nightclub for the evening stanza of the event.

Attic Live at S.A.S.H. 7th Birthday (1st April, 2018)

We had a great time warming up for the man everyone came to see at our most recent party  "Attic Presents Codie Currie" last weekend. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces in the crowd that showed up to support, and so many new faces that we hope will become Attic staples into the future :)

Andrew Fazzolari & Brendan Clay Live at Attic Presents Cody Currie (7th Dec, 2018)

Finally able to get this mix up online after a busy few weeks on the music front! 

A big thanks to the crew at Anchor for inviting us (Brendan & I) down for their opening party, and what a day it was ! We had the pleasure of warming up for the incredibly talented DJ/ producer Bellaire - cruising around Sydney Harbour on a beautiful day no less !

Also a big shout to Sam Jake, who played live sax alongside us throughout the entire set. His skills in adapting to each track truly took the vibe to another level.

Just a side note: As we were out in the open cruising the Harbour, there is a fair bit of wind noise that came through the microphone of the sax, which was near impossible to avoid at times. This has come through on the recording, but hey, it's a live set !

Little slow to get this one out but here it is! My opening set from our last Attic party over at Harpoon Harry, where we got to host Attic personified - and a new mate for life - Ethyene  🙌

I was pretty keen to play the first set of the night, as I've collected so many slow jams recently that I really wanted to get in.

The result was a mix of deep, disco, housey slow burners that I feel worked really well while the venue was building, people where strolling through and hanging out, and the night was settling in for a big one!

Andrew Fazzolari - Live at Attic Pres. Ethyène at Harpoon Harry (11th May, 2019)

Brendan Clay @themshift and I have been booked fairly consistently for back-to-back sets under our @atticsydney guise in recent time. In the lead up to those; we'll often discuss (at length) particular tunes, remixes, labels, and throw around/brainstorm ideas for upcoming sets to create a certain "vibe".

For some time now, we've held certain tracks dear—and kept them aside—with an undivided, collective belief that "this track would absolutely blow up The Den at @s-a-s-h-sundays on a late Sunday evening or Monday morning".

We suspect that if you've spent any length of time at S*A*S*H; you'll probably form a picture of what that might look like... but we could surprise you all the same.

This is a testament to the crew over at S*A*S*H, their brand, the tireless work put in on a weekly basis, and its reputation for creating such a synonymous vibe, unlike any other.

A few weeks back, we finally got to pull out those very tunes, and we had a blast! This mix—the second half of our four-hour epic—is what we came up with..

Side note for the trainspotters - we'll post the track list if / when we hit 500 plays ;)

3 hours of music incoming for your Friday !

So I decided to hit the record button a few weekends ago as a result of not having any gigs in the pipeline, which I'd normally dedicate a fair chunk of my time preparing for on any other given weekend.

It was nice to put something together without any thought of the pressures of performing that comes with a live show. Something I've missed, but also something I've enjoyed time away from to dedicate some space to catching up on other things...

This mix is is somewhat in line with what you'd expect from an Attic style set, with a few personal touches here and there... a combination of the vinyl and digital music I've collected mainly from 2020 as I wanted to keep it relatively fresh! A few bits of disco & jazziness in there but overall leaning more on the deep house tip.

Andrew Fazz *Live Stream Sessions* Vol I

It's that age-old, well-worn cliché: "music is the essence that brings us together".

Well, cliché or not; it couldn't be more accurate in considering this offering.

The last few months have not been without challenge.  We have been apart; away from the DJ booth; away from the dance floor; prevented from doing the thing we love: sharing our passion for the music for which we dig deep.  Very deep.

In the spirit of breaking through these challenges; we've grouped together and devised this very special concoction of sound, delivered by a selection of five like-minded individuals, all placed in various parts of the world.

What we have here is, in essence, a DJ mix—a few clicks over an hour in length.  Five DJs, three tracks a pop—one kicks off; the next joins... then the next... and the next.

Burners, killers, fillers, fresh cuts and perhaps forgotten Gems from the Attic—all delivered in one cohesive package.

Make no mistake... this is a very Attic effort.

We have Carlo: an incredibly consistent, Berlin-based up-and-coming DJ/producer, throwing out more fresh weaponry than we've had hot dinners.

We have Norm De Plume: a good friend of ours and our brand, and one of the best imports to the Sydney scene—both, in hosting the best-sounding events via his analogue sound system, and his very deep box of black treasure that follows him everywhere.

We have Sondrio: one of Sydney's finest exports now calling Amsterdam home.  A gun producer, killer DJ and loyal player to our cherished brand.

Opening up and bringing it home, is us: Brendan Clay & Andrew Fazzolari.  We've unmistakably placed ourselves in esteemed, incredibly talented company with this effort.
