I am a music junkie who is happiest playing to an adventurous dance floor. Originally from Melbourne I now call the Byron Shire home. In Melbourne I presented various electronic music radio shows on 3PBS FM, was a founding member of the Global Eyes music/art project and a regular fixture on Melbourne’s underground dj scene spinning at intimate affairs through to clubs and larger festivals including Earthcore, Rainbow Serpent & The Eclipse Festival. I love playing music to a smiling crowd from intimate gathering through to larger shenanigans.

It's Bay FM’s annual Radiothon festival through till 26 November – when we ask the community to help keep this community station on the airwaves. Lees Broken Love Mix

Ian Ellison is a Los Angeles based music producer, DJ, and teacher with a deep passion for electronic music. He is particularly inspired by the simplicity and to-the-point nature of minimalism and frequently implements creative limitations in his own practice.  In 2023 he started Pseudonote, a creative outlet and “record label” of sorts to release the music of friends and collaborators, as well as his own productions. He enjoys studying different music-making methodologies and technologies in order to further explore sound as a medium for creative expression.

The Shizzle : 2023 Highlights Part 2

Big thanks to the Cunning Stunts crew for inviting me along to play at Nudge Nudge Wink Wink sharing the booth with great selectors Dj Danu, Dale Stephen and Lord Sut. Here's my set from Saturday - I had a great time and hope you enjoy the set as much as I did playing it and putting it together 

Nudge Nudge Wink Wink is more than a party; it's a FUNdraiser, providing essential connection, charitable support, and a warming of spirit for all who attend.  Their events continue with their unwavering commitment to support locally based registered NFPs that are making a profound impact in our communities during these challenging times.
For their May & June events they are donating to the Dharma Care Winter Warmer campaign, which aims to raise $75k for four amazing local community groups and drop-in centres: all of which are helping people experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Tweed and Byron Shires. 

Cunning Stunts have donated $407,603 so far, helping 39 local
charities since December 2015. Funds are donated to locally based registered NFP’s assisting our communities during these challenging times.

Nudge Nudge Wink Wink : 4 May 2024

Tonight I have something special to share and that’s a mix from US producer, musician and composer McLean Macionis aka Alighted. The mix reflects his wide scope of artistic interests! Over the years, Mclean has written music for television shows; worked as a sound designer, released his own music, designed and built his own instruments and I know he feels like he’s only getting started. His mix touches on everything from dance, jazz, experimental, film and video game scores and I know listeners of this show are going to love it as much as I do.

McLean Macionis is a forward-thinking composer and producer whose solo and collaborative works live at the intersection of music, engineering, and the human experience. He currently releases music under the moniker Alighted and as one half of the electronic music duo NMND and operates a record label called Garden Broom Recordings based in upstate New York. In 2023, he released on Kompakt , Palette Recordings and his own music on Garden Broom Recordings. The Shizzle : 2024 Highlights part 2

Happy new year and wishing you all a wonderful year ahead. We are kicking off 2025 with a bang tonight and I have something special to share and that’s a mix from MachineGunIbiza.
A project founded in Berlin (about 1 year ago). They are a musical duo (a producer who initially released music as far back as 1979 and a Dj who has been spinning vinyl for the last 35 years). Their love for music and their desire to do something new and fresh is why and where they have come from.
These guys love to dance and are always on the search for a new sound or a forgotten sound amongst todays homogenous flavours of dance and club music. They are creating original “organic “ music with real instrumentation rather than computer generated sounds.
They have more than 20 original tracks ready with more to come and hopefully we will see an LP release later this year. They are a genre fluid project with a focus on dance, club, 80ies, Krautrock but also pop and downtempo and their mix is fantastic and ticks every box for us tonight.
I look forward to sharing more music from them in the months ahead but in the meantime keep in touch and follow them here.

Tea-Snuggery is Threeemoji aka Tom Bossert. Born in 1976, his musical path quickly led him to electronic music. From Krautrock and bands like Cluster, Can and Kraftwerk in his youth, to the early 90s with the start of the techno movement and club culture in Germany. His sets have always been oriented towards this development, never just one or the other.
For more than a decade Tom has presented the Tea Snuggery Show on various stations which now resides on Threads Radio. The focus is on music, far from the mainstream, from ambient to zef - out of the comfort zone and into the depths of electronic music and other various genres.

The mix takes you on a journey through artists who have performed on the show (Famous Forgotten Artists, Die Wilde Jagd, David Fenech, Isak Anderssen, Ufo Hawaii), some obscure gems and recent releases from The Horrors, Saeko Kill, Heartworms, DECIUS and much more.  Listen with care.

Sniffer Dog is a  musical maverick who has been agitating underground dancefloors since the beginning of time, Kol Dimond’s latest reincarnation sees the electronic beat terrorist in fine form.
A one-man one-box show, full of slow dirty acid grooves, post punk menace and thought provoking cut-up vocal samples.
Mingling with audiences as his high freekuency wireless set up allows for an interactive experience so rare in much of today’s sterile electronic music scene.

Berlin-based composer Achim Treu aka  UFO Hawaii offers listeners an in-depth exploration of his distinctive sound. Achim Treu has been creating music since the 1980s and is widely respected for his stylistic diversity. His approach defies easy categorisation: each UFO Hawaii album presents a fresh sonic landscape and what he has selected for us this evening is a perfect fit for the show.

Treu’s work is characterised by recurring influences from Krautrock, Electronica, Soundtracks, and New Wave, making his productions both eclectic and innovative. For tonights show he has curated a selection of pieces spanning his various works and releases. The result is an engaging and varied journey through his creative world having a hand in every track that he has put down for us tonight (that’s definitely a first for this show). The Shizzle : 2025 Highlights Part 1

The Shizzle is a weekly radio program that has been running since late 2014 on 99.9 BayFM (Byron Bay) exploring a diverse range of music from the now, yesterday and tomorrow. Touching on  everything from psychedelia, techno, post punk, disco, house, leftfield electronic music, world exotica & more. I have a very loose music policy, "If I like it, I play it".

I am a passionate music fan originally from Melbourne who now calls the Byron Shire home. In Melbourne I presented various electronic music radio shows on 3PBS FM, was a founding member of the Global Eyes music/art project and a regular fixture on Melbourne’s underground dj scene spinning at intimate affairs through to clubs and larger festivals including Earthcore,  Rainbow Serpent & The Eclipse Festival. I am in my happy place playing music to an adventurous dance floor.
